I was up watching Le Tour when Vapourday started at 1am Saturday here, so I'm about to join the ranks of the Spheroid owners (two-tone) :D

Up until now I've been telling everyone I have my Sophias and SnP tanks and that's all I need, but I have the feeling this Vapourday might be the beginning of a slippery slope ...

As far as I can see, everything is still in stock! P, I posted a reminder for people over on the Aussie F5 thread.

I missed vapourday but it wasn't until a few hours ago, when I had a bit of time, that I checked the site and to my surprise I realized that I pretty much own the entire line of GP products as well as all the spares with the exception of most of the LUX tubes. pretty much all set.

I did put some fluff in the cart because for some reason I always feel the compulsive urge to buy more even though I've got a ton already ... but not a crapton!

I think I'm safe until the Piccolo releases. I don't even feel the need for one but when has need ever come into play?

I'm undecided on the CC. I liked SnC and KGD because it's really easy to reproduce wick size consistently. I was never a good cotton puller.

It does wick remarkably fast, and seems to hold it's shape and fluffiness well.

I could have used a tiny bit too much but so far the flavor is okay but the vapor production seems to be down. I'll probably rewick again in a little bit for comparison though.

Such a dreadful day...

Got my PlumeVeil... Which was great. Can't wait for it to get in.

Then the house we were after got sold.

Then the loan company for our new house called and said they made a mistake. Our credit scores are plenty high, but our credit history hasn't been long enough. So now we wait a few months, then go searching again..

Square one.

Having a drink with friends to relax the spirit after a very stressful day.

The sun is rising on the horizon for my family though. I can feel it. Something good is coming our way. We just have to keep our chins up and our will strong. Ruts can be escaped, and this family has 4-wheel drive ;)

I'm on my first KFL of CC. Taste is fine. But, something isn't quite right. Could be, just because it's different. We will see how it goes, with the next tank. Learning curve....

I really liked the 'consistency of build' with the KGD too. :)

Must be just me then. Probably my knuckles that broke many years ago (that I just let heal the best way they could), combined with my poor hand strength - must be imparting some kind of twisting action as the button gets pressed.

I feel your pain. When I was in my 20s I was on the floor sitting on my .... with my arms behind me and my hands on the floor. A friend surprised attacked me head on with a body tackle and all of my fingers folded backwards and broke, a few came through the skin. Between that and relying on my knuckles and fingers my life on top of living in the cold outdoors...I occasionally wake up with my fingers locked after a short rest. But, It could be much worse! :)

Going to drink wine. Anyone else that wants me to send some cellucotton just pm me. If u don't hear back from me right away, it's only because I'll be drinking wine. I will get all the 'orders' out tomorrow [emoji1]

Have a great weekend everybody!

Weird, I had no idea you had a penchant for wine

JP Is the closest but he's a sox fan.
Go Sox. JP!

Just wanted to stop in and say thanks to Perseas for great customer service and to Idaho for being Idaho. Hope everyone is doing well.

I've enjoyed the slippery slope so far :D

I still have my eye on those Gizmos which come up for sale this week. Perfect home for the Spheroid. But then, the microstick is also a perfect home for the Spheroid, and I only ordered one ...

It's so hard keeping up with you folks, without checking every day, all day long!
Shingles, lost house bids, vapourday successes, tomatoes, broken fingers (jeepers).
So, as much as I'd want to reply to each, but by the time I do it's days too late, and do more than just "like" retroactively, I'll just "like" generally.
This X really pleases!
Wish you all well.

Path, things get better (especially with alcohol) and I'm pretty sure what you find will be much better than what you lost! Good attitude!

...

For anyone keeping track of CC tests: Little woozy after chain vaping a whole tank to test. Taste is comparable to KGD. I'm pretty sure that I'm getting less vapor production. I never had a problem with dry hits, really, unless the tank actually WAS dry.

It'll come down to durability for me. So far CC, hasn't outperformed KGD. If the wick lasts MUCH longer or it can handle the burn better when dry, it could be good and may even make up for the inconvenience of pulling the wick out instead of cutting a KGD pad. Now, if you could get cellucotton in a pad that would be rather nice.

Very nice. I will tell you, the very perfect home for a Spheroid is on top of a Piccolo :).

Funny.Cliffy, I love both as well but, having specific atomizer preferences.
Being a Spheroid junkie I have used plenty of every wick we know as vapers. When I moved strictly to organic material I was a bit worried about the Spheroid and I damn sure wasn't giving up a favorite.
KGD is not bad but has a tendency to go flat, still wicks but, the fibers seem to lose fluff. The cc is fantastic in terms of wicking but, the shorter wick tends to get to be a stringy mess. So, I always end back with SnC. Holds up, keeps shape, wicks nicely and the flavor is spot on.
The Herons, I am all day a cc fan now. I've put them heads up build to build, juice to juice and cc wins....twice. My refills are closer to original amount of juice, the flavor is clean and it lasts longer.
I as many have experienced a somewhat gym sock flavor when breaking KGD and cotton balls.
CC wins in my rebuildable cartos, divers for the GP SnP.
CC wins in the Chalice
KGD wins in the KF and TF
CC wins the v2 Rose.
.......and on
I'm glad to have the options. They are fantastic breakthroughs in the industry. As we quit smoking into vaping, we should look and find ways to improve the way and mediums in which we use to vape. I want to have a healthier habit of delivering nicotine coursing through my veins, not a habit of parallel risk as smoking.

I also love digging out the perfect wick with cc. I also stopped splitting the KGD pads. I always throw out the outsides as they don't wick as good as the fluffy centers.

I hear you loud and clear! I don't have as many atties as you do but I can see where wick material definitely can be build/atty specific.

I get better taste out of kgd in a Spheroid but I go back to SnC sometimesin it because it holds it's shape well when being spun around against the fluff.

I'm currently doing parallel tests in the Herons (kgd vs cc) with similar results so far. The cotton topper/o-ringed tank makes variances in wick shape and form almost insignificant. I've never run into any break in period for kgd though. cotton balls, on the other hand, yes.

My few drippers seem to like the cc better for wicking speed/capacity and hopefully it turns out it'll more durable when starts go dry.I think cc wins there.

I haven't done any Sophia builds in awhile but you can be sure that's on deck...

I think a lot of my successes revolve around my coil. Mine is rather large diameter (wrapped around a 2.4mm driver). I think that by itself helps me avoid most issues with wicking speed/capacity and wick shape/resilience.

Running a looped wick helps a lot too, I think...

edit: I vaped my tank dry (with cc) while making this post. I guess I wasn't really paying attention but it does seem to me that dry hits are a bit milder when it happens - but it could be just me. Normally I rewick after a dry hit (unless I'm out and about) but this time I'll leave it in and see how the wick holds up.
