As a throat hit junkie I likes my 24 once in a while. TH is the biggest part for me, even over flavor. I tried going down to 12 and couldn't take it. I'm back at 18. Wouldn't mind trying 16.

Ugh, Ti got stuck hard. Finally got everything apart and am gonna start the cleaning process here soon. Ive got blisters on my fingers from trying to work this thing loose.
Can't wait to get it all worked in :)

Hey P, what about a alumi bronze X button?

It wouldn't be a wise choice to have a this part made from aluminum bronze. Take a look at the axis of the button and imagine what shall happen in an accidental fall, and there are many more reasons as well.

California has some beautiful weather. We've been to San Francisco and La, for short stays in the summer. It was jeans weather to my wife and I.

Much of the SW is pretty much "jeans weather" year-round for someone like me that spent about half their life in the deep snow frozen north. I've been on the Mojave Desert for so long that for years it's been short sleeve/shorts/sandals year-round. I don't even own a coat anymore, just a light jacket, nor any long pants anymore. Works fine for me since I no longer go to dressy social affairs of any kind. If it is not casual/come as you are... I won't be there. ;)

It's a little funny about the 3 mg tho....a very reputable eliquid vendor/manufacturer once told me if you're going to vape 3 mg, you might as well vape zero nic, because you won't realy absorb any from the 3 mg anyways, as we truely don't get the full mg we are vaping...just food for thought. ;)

I have been vaping 6 mg for over 2 years now, but started on 18 mg 4 years ago.

I started vaping at 6mg just because that's about what the light cigs I had been using for years were. Smoking hadn't been about the nic to me for a very long time. I could take it or leave it when it came to nic. It's the mechanics of smoking that I have always liked, with cigs and pipes mostly, cigars now and then. I started doing DIY not long after I started vaping, also at 6mg and soon dropped the nic out of it more often than not. The bottles of DIY nic in the freezer haven't been touched since last summer. I still buy premades with 6mg as that's the lowest offered at most places, but I don't feel that I need the nic in it at all. With vaping it's all about the flavor to me, not the throat hit, and up to a reasonable point the vapor. I'm not a cloud chaser. So I guess my vaping acronym would be vtF. :)

Made it home back to Boston!! 6 flights in one week....I'm wiped out!!

Just wanted to say hi! :) I stupidly left all my GP mods at work, so I am GP-less until Monday..... :( Oh well....I am excited though, because I ordered a switch for my 18350 Lux Tube, so now I can run a Spheroid on it full-time!! :D

Anyway hope all is well with you guys!!

That's what got me started. I was hanging around here more as a lurker :D & eventually just had to have one for myself. Now I got 2.

I was told, by a friend, there were 'good people' here. So, I popped in to say 'Howdy!'. I really wasn't looking for a new mod.

End result... I got new mods, and a new Family! :)

I has a sad.

Wednesday and Thursday, my Ti's threads were smooth as butter. Last night, I took the Heron off of it and tried to put the top cap on. It would only go on about half way before binding.

Well, having followed this thread, I had read of others having binding issues as well. So, I spent about 2 hours at the sink working all the threads on the tubes. Got them all working pretty smoothly, so gave them a final brush with the tooth brush, dried everything thoroughly, and put it back together in 650 mode. All was well.

Today, I wanted to change to 500 mode. I cannot get the tubes apart. I have tried everything that has been suggested in this thread. I've managed to get them to loosen about 2 turns but that's as far as I can get them to move. I cannot get them to tighten up either. I don't have a vice or soft jawed pliers. I wouldn't want to put it in a vice though, even if I did have one.

I am at a total loss here. I don't know what else to try.

I've found that just because you broke in one section nicely, it doesn't mean that another section will fit the exact way. I got everything together in 500 mode and can't get it right in 650, yet so I'll have to work those as well. I just hope I don't remove so much material to get both sections working that they get wobbly.

So far, a soak in some chilled water and a sharp rap against the table (in a cloth so as not to mar the finish) has gotten a little movement back each time enough me to the threads back forth even millimeter or two. Rinse and repeat until you can twist/work the part out...
