A regular ritual in my house, is cat de-shedding. I take each cat out to the lanai, and vigorously comb them with a de-shedding rake. I do it under the ceiling fan. That way, the hair flies off and away from them. Some of them, 'obviously' like it. A couple of them do not. Some of them, just pretend they don't like it. If you don't know, that's a 'cat thing'. :)

When I am done.. OH MY! What a mess to clean up! Piles and piles of flying cat hairs! Only a true 'cat lady', could look at that big mess as a good and happy thing. :)

After the clean-up, we have a catnip party! :)

BTW: Hello my GP Family! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend! :)

@Spydro, Yep. Bingo. I have reaped much help within the last couple years + rehabilitating my adapted distaste for people in general. This thread and a very good friend has cast much light on the dark side of my feelings of what society has churned out.
I will tell you Spydro, if we lived any closer you would be tired of me hanging out with you.

@Cucco, *clearing throat, ahem. :)

Can you imagine the three of us hanging? Wouldn't that be cool?!

BTW:

Three warped minds in one place at the same time would be interesting to say the least, maybe even scary.

I have never had vaper's tongue.

I won't even attempt to DIY, until I move. If I do, I'll set up a little lab. Cat free zone.. :)

Finding a good peppermint vape or peppermint in general and pound water can also do the trick.
I've had it with GVC and it floored me. I just couldn't taste it and what I did was terrible.
I remember telling Yankeeballs that I think I got in on a bad batch lol. By then I was 24/7 vaping GVC and frebasing it in between. Lol. Chasing the Dragon man......
I've since completed GP's treatment center program for GVC addicts. I used to blame P Dawg for my addiction well just so you all know.....I still do ...

Vapers tongue was a battle around here so I soon started rotating a lot of different liquids every day/night AND using a palate cleansing vape dripped between them. The palate cleanser is quite beneficial, for me anyway. I tried several liquids when hunting for a cleanser I liked and that worked well. The early favorite turned out to be one of the very first premades I ever tried that was a surprise even then because I had never liked or used menthol tobacco's in cigs or pipes. Kringle's Curse was one of the samples in a sample pack from Halo that came with my very first vape gear from them. It is an intense peppermint base with a kick that has ample throat hit and leaves your mouth tingling. Went through a few of their 30ml bottles at $20+S/H before I came up with a clone of it for DIY. And I can taylor it to my exact liking. Ran out of it though so recently bought another premade to try out from Nicoticket. It's not working for me though, probably because it's too sweet.

Note to self: Need to buy the flavor supplies to make up another large DIY batch of it again and stop wasting my time with trying other premades.

Brings back memories of the years we had a Pekingese that we raised from weaning, trained and showed. Wei-tu's TaTifen for the shows... Sniffles to us (even though he recognized both names). A thorough brushing was a daily chore minimum, sometimes more than once, and since he had epilepsy from birth there were other daily routines in place that had to be done without fail. So naturally he went with us everywhere except when we traveled out of the country (left him with out vet). So he was my wifes only baby many of the ten years before we had our son, and a couple after until he had to be put down. His loss hit my ex harder than even I thought possible. So he was the last "house" dog, my field trial/hunting GSP's Shana Madel and Leba was my last as well... we never had dogs again. Cats were not an option, both my ex and son are allergic to fine animal hair (cat, rabbit, etc). So we just stayed with all the birds, fresh and saltwater fish tanks... plus my son had his lizard and snake years and I still brought home just about anything wild that needed a helping hand until it could make it's own living again in the wilds. There were some pleanty serious wild things in the mix, but the ex took them all in stride because she knew I was not curable when it came to nature. At least she never referred to me as her other "big kid" as far as I know. ;)

I'm sure I still have color slides of Sniffles, Shana and Leba from the early 70's in storage, but no easy way to get them on-line. I have a 14-15 YO HP slide scanner (not hooked up), but it does a terrible job. :(

Another beautiful day in Las Vegas. Hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday.

Been doing some GP laundry this morning... cleaning all the Herons, some of the X's and V3's. Need to do the other kind of laundry too, but I have my priorities in the right order. ;)

A note about the CC for wicking. It is wicking great in the Herons. I think I could easily chain lung hit them as hard as I want without a dry hit. Some of that might be because I'm getting way better at setting the Herons up now though. It's a winner in the drippers too, and is holding up quite well in them. The jury is still out on the flavor though. I'm out of my palate cleaning liquid, so dealing with v-tongue some and can't really get a fair assessment of it yet. I plan to try it in my Sofia's next time I need to wick or coil them, evetually in everything I still use.

As for "this weeks" newest, greatest yet wicking medium... I don't want to know. ;)

So as I wait for GP's to come back in stock again.... I was all set on the GP PAPS X SS v1.5, but a friend has so highly recommended that I go with a GP PAPS X LUX Edition v1.5.... Says it not only hits harder due to the aluminium bronze body tube, but tells me its softens to a beautiful even patina.... I have always has SS mods but wouldn't mind adding something some thing different to my mod arsenal. Opinions? I would also love to hear from the man himself Perseas what he thinks about the 2 mods ?

Both the SS and LUX versions of the GP Paps X are great. When it comes down to conductivity one can argue that the aluminum bronze tube and the silver-plated GPin in the top cap offer the LUX version an advantage. The LUX version is polished while the SS version is brushed, so that may play a factor when it comes to scratches or polishing. The LUX will patina, but much slower than other brass or copper mods, and it will become a nice honey color before becoming darker (I don't let my aluminum bronze go darker than honey). Otherwise, I think it comes down to price and aesthetics and it depends on what you like, what you want in your collection, and what you want to pair it with.

As mentioned before, complete personal preference. The ss and the alumabronze PAPS are both a fantastic choice. A bit more streamlined in the hand and lighter. The switch is unbeatable in the world we graze. It is the benchmark and the reason other builders wake up to try and duplicate in their tube mods. Commonly on other threads in various forums when members are reviewing their personal mods, they often compare the switch to a GP PAPS. Most of us have seen it much.
The X, if you will, is a more substantial piece in your hand. Having the option of any tube size within one package is a big reason many in your position lean towards the X.
Your familiarity with mods lends me the notion that it will be determinate on the grip, feel and look with your atomizers. Quality is already a given on either so the stance of the mod in your possession is key. They both are such great choices, my personal advice would be to go with your gut and in the future pick up the other.
As far as conductivity and voltage, The SS vs the Lux is very insignificant. There is a slight difference in the X vs the PAPS but, is imo also insignificant.
I have many notes and have some amazing results on 2 recent builds on either mod.
You will completely enjoy either choice you make from the quality as mentioned, craftsmanship, to the service. The best part of your decision is that you have a decision and both are winning decisions.
I would be happy to fire off a PAPS on a vacation for your dancing and dining pleasure to help you along.

Oh, the patina....Gorgeous! It is not to be confused with the typical brass that is often seen. It begins softly and is slow process that goes through many shades of a light golden patina not seen in the current marketplace. It is by far the best patina and everyone's will change slightly different

I have an opinion!

Do not buy one immediately when stock is released, but wait until I have secured one:p

This is the purchase I have in mind for September also. A friend showed me her PAPS X LUX V1.5 recently and the patina that was developing was beautiful. Much more subtle that expected from other metals.

If you get the SS version I think a must have is the Lux GPin - if for nothing else than it lengthens the required time before needing to clean the contacts. The Lux, obviously, already comes with it included.

Wow Spydro that's gorgeous. Where in Vegas is that? I never expect to see a lush oasis like that in the middle of a desert.

Let me know if you run low on the CC, I'll send ya some more! ;) I've got enough to last me until the end of time!

I think he means the GP Holster that comes with the GP Paps X SS. I don't see a picture of it on the GP Holster product page or any options because it's Sold Out. This is the one holster that I don't have (because it wasn't available with the v1):

vapouart_img_7256.jpg

Look at me learnin'! I honestly had no idea that there was a single holster with the flip top cover. I have singles but not one like that. I suppose I always assumed they were the same.
Now I needz one or two but, no more than three.....unless there would be a chance of me picking up four....But that's it!

Good call Cliffy and Thanks FS :)
