Oh noes! I've lost my marble!! O.O

No you didn't. It's the first one in the thread, not the ones that follow in the quotes. Those are prior versions. I even went back and moved the Vamo you thought was a cannon pointing at you.

ETA: I don't know how your connection is working tonight, but I can't get that page to fully load.

Did you see my Canadian post in the Saloon?

ETA: "Canadian Bacon" is ham. Repeat after me: haaammmm

How can you trust a country where the people drink beer and clamato juice mixed together?

Can't say I've ever tried that, or even if I want to try beer and clamato mixed together.. *shudder* but then, I'm more accepting of diversity in the food culture of a country than you seem to be! :glare:

To each their own little one!

it's gotta be fried okra for me to eat it...or it's gotta be hidden among a bunch of other stuff.

I never tried it fried but it's got to be way better that way than the slimy stuff I tried before.....eeewwwwwwww!!!! I even try to pick it out of gumbo whenever I see it in there. I'm super picky w/texture. I can't sit on certain furniture or wear certain clothes cuz of this texture issue I have. And I can't list all the food I won't eat cuz of it too.

Soaking Okra in water for a while will remove most of the sliminess. Just cover it with water and let it sit. After a while the slime floats to the top. Drain, rinse and then cook.

It's still a weird texture and I can see how picky eaters won't go for it.

Done right, it can be amazing, specially when coated in spices and fried!! Mmmmmm..
