What about if you're out and there's no place to charge it? I don't bring 2 PV when I'm out. At worst I bring another battery, fits anywhere!

Valid point, but most devices this sophisticated have a built-in battery voltage meter. This is exactly why its there. A 3800 mah battery should give you amble opportunity to recharge the battery.

I go trough a 3200 mAh in 9 hours, so I would have to charge the Groover everyday. Exactly what I was doing just a month ago because I only had 2 batteries, what a pain it was, now I have 6 batteries, when I have 4 dead batteries (about every 3-4 days), I charge 2 at the same time in my 2 cell chargers at 1 A then another 2. But I could upgrade, they make 6 cell chargers or even 2 cell chargers at 2 A now, twice as fast as what I have! Probably takes at most 1 hour only to charge 2 batteries! Anyone know how fast the Groover charges for a full battery?

Or what about if you have the Groover, it's at 3.9 volts, quite good, but there's a really nice party or an emergency and you need to leave right away, so no time to charge.

Ok, I see your point. You are a heavier vapor than me by far. An AW 18650 2000 mah imr lasts me just over a day.

:vapor:

The Groover would probably fits 90% of my needs, but I'd really hate to kind of throw away all my good panasonic batteries and my chargers just because they included a battery in it. It is a good device for someone just starting tho, no need to buy batteries or a charger, I might just recommend it.

I'm curious: What batteries? What Mod? Watts? and at what voltage do you change batteries?

I ask because 3200 mAh in 9 hours is a LOT!!!...about 3.5 times more than I use. I would would usually get about 20-22 waking hours (full day and half the next) out of a Panny CGR18650CH. That's at 10 watts, about 10ml, and running the batt down till the Gripper stopped working. A CGR18650CH down to 3.2v is a bit over 2000mAh.

Yes it's a lot, the thing is that when it gets to 3.6 volts, I change it, any PV I tried up to now, when the battery reach 3.6 volts, it's not as good as a full fresh battery. If the battery reach 3.6 volts, I can always go higher on the voltage of the Gripper when vaping, but it's not the same thing, I feel it just burns the wick instead of just heating it. So I always keep my Gripper between 3.0 and 3.5 volts and my Panasonic CGR18650CH battery between 3.6 and 4.2 volts. I don't know about the watts, would need to calculate it and my atomizer is rite now at 1.5, it's usually always between 1.2 and 1.6.

I just changed the battery 5 minutes ago, it was at 3.6 volts, it's so much better now :)

I use a regular sized Provari (18650 battery with extension cap) mostly for home use, and the V.V. Gripper (same 18650 battery) for out and about use. It fits my needs because it is small, light, comfortable in my hand, and fits in a pocket like a pack of cigs would. Since the Groove wouldn't be my all-day device, it would be a good out-and-about PV like the Gripper. Hopefully Smoktech will make the Groove more durable than the Gripper.

VV/VW
3.0v - 6.0v
3W - 15w
3800mAh battery

If it is made out of metal I would get one. I won't be buying anymore plastic PV's because I drop them too often. I have a MPV which is very sturdy and has a long lasting permanent battery but doesn't read resistance or have VW mode. If it did it would be perfect for me. I like charging like a cell phone and not having to carry extra batteries.

Well, you could charge it with your MPV. :p

Wait a minute, You only carry one PV? Oh my.

I'd carry a zappo or one of those key ring ego thingys at the very least.

And, seriously, please don't carry loose batteries. Loose mod batteries in a pocket that just happens to touch a coin the right way can be big trouble.

Yeah only 1 PV, I don't want to carry too much stuff so it becomes a nuisance, +1 for the loose battery, I make sure it's the only thing in my pocket, I should get those plastic secure box to carry them tho, would be even better!

If one of the vendors bought a bunch of grippers (madvapes im looking at you) and put them into aluminum or tin boxes, replaced the button with a longer lasting button, epoxied the parts so they would be shock resistant, and kept it small i bet they would sell like crazy. Id pay double for that...
This is exactly what I'm gonna do with mine now that my switch is getting finicky. I got 5-6 months of heavy use from it. Not bad for $50 when you consider how much we demand from these cheap little devices. My bro-in-law is an engineer/tech geek and said he would help me come up with something cool in the same form. I definitely want to rubberize whatever we use and have a threaded battery cap. The sliding battery door is one of the biggest design flaws I've ever seen in any pv.

Groovy....I'm still gonna buy one. Maybe I'll wrap it with black hockey tape:p

Just got my Gripper VV from madvapes. I'm coming from regular 3.7v devices(ego 18650). This thing is VERY serious! It pumps a thick, thick tasty plume of vapor down my throat. And a lot of it! I have not tasted my black honey tobacco DIY mix like this at all on my other device. I've got it set on 3.0v right now with 1.7ohm vivi nova mini. I want to break it in easily. Color me impressed. I wish I would have started out with this thing.
