Ah, I was reading iTazle and google didn't find anything 
Can anyone enlighten me, this and all the new stuff coming with integrated battery just sounds bad to me, I just bought 4 more panasonic battery, when I'm on the go and the battery is low, I just switch it with a fresh one, you can't do it with that one, and it's only 2600 mAh which only last a day, it really doesn't sound practical at all, am I missing something or what?

I'm not a fan of proprietary batteries either but for the price... its a nice pv.
Eventually though the battery will slowly die and the entire unit will need to be replaced.
I'm sure there will be those who modify and replace the battery though.
I have both the VV Gripper and the iTaste MVP. The iTaste is very solidly built and will last longer than the battery door and the 510 connector on my VV Gripper. But since the iTaste doesn't have an ohms checker, I've brought the Gripper back up into my starting rotation.
It is an iTaste MVP and it is the best built PV I have. The 2600 Mah battery lasts me about two days and is great for weekend trip. It is thinner, longer and heavier than the Gripper. It is easy to charge from your laptop or from a wall adapter.
Oh but your going to want something else before you get that in the mail though. 3 years for a battery seems pretty good when you figure that your only going to use it for about 6 months max. Well most of us would have traded up by then.

Ha ha. Only reason I didn't get that one is that it has 5v max, and not sure that I like the connector placement.
Doing fine with my provari, Varicool 6amp, and my gripper tin. They never did respond. I imagine some day they will improve the case...and it was certainly pleasant to use.
If one of the vendors bought a bunch of grippers (madvapes im looking at you) and put them into aluminum or tin boxes, replaced the button with a longer lasting button, epoxied the parts so they would be shock resistant, and kept it small i bet they would sell like crazy. Id pay double for that...
Bought one a few days ago. Just using it as a backup hoping it'll last me a couple of months before I encounter any of the issues discussed here.
It is an excellent backup device, just don't drop it and it will last, mine is 4 months old now
The Gripper is garbage. Mine lasted for a week, stopped working and then fell apart in my hands when I tried to figure out what was wrong with it.

Mine has lasted 4 months so far. I guess for the price it seems to be alright but maybe I should step up and buy a better unit.
I'm going to see what the price does after a few months and I'll probably pick one up. I loved my Gripper before I dropped it a few to many times. I still use it from time to time when building new coils as it's the only thing I have that measures resistance without fiddling with multimeter leads.
