I actually smoked and vaped at the same time for the first 2 weeks after I received my first ecig kit. That helped me ease the transition between the two and allowed me to get the nicotine needed during the learning period.

One morning I lit a cigarette and decided it tasted just horrible. I put it out and have never looked back. You can see in my signature the actual last date of a cigarette.

I started out with 24mg in the mornings then 18mg during the rest of the day. Slowly I have worked my way down to 6mg in the morning and 0mg the rest of the day. I do keep some 10mg and 12mg around for those days I just need the extra nicotine.

I am in no rush to completely give up nicotine or vaping. I know that this is healthier for me than smoking.

I haven't smoked in more than a year. Started in the 18/24 range and after I was confident I was over the smokes (about 3-4 months) I started reducing nic every two weeks.

I got down to 3-6mgs and was fine. I went to zero and was a bit grouchy lol, ask my husband :D. Since then I've stuck int he 4-6 mg. range and done fine. I'm confident I could get to zero if I put my mind to it but my brain functions better with a little nic. My doctor says a little nic is fine, smoking is not. For now, I'm happy! I may wean down again in awhile.

Either way I feel 100% better this year than I did before I started vaping!! After more than 25 years smoking like a fool.... you couldn't pay me to smoke a cig now and it just happened :)

Good luck folks!! Happy vaping!

My story is about the same as all these. 2 PAD Full flavor for 10 years smoking for 25 got PV used it and cigs first day half to 3/4 pack, 3 cigs 2nd day and off them the third.

I think it was easy knowing I was not trying to quit cigs. I didn't care if I did or not. Just wanted to try this... I do know if I was just using carto's Id have never quit! Had to Drip 24 MG for my needs. Still loving 24 mg all day and dont know what the future holds. Im satisfied as is .. Still have 6 packs in a carton in the kitchen, I dont see smoking them even having them in reach. Nasty to me now

Before the e-cig that's how I felt during the 10+ times I tried to quit. It was a 40 year
old habit, the last few a PAD Marlboro light man. I loved the things. They kinda take
over your life and become ingrained in what you are. It was finally the downright pain
of breathing when getting up in the morning that convinced me it was time.

I was lucky to remember seeing the e-cig a few years ago and went looking online.
I grabbed the Blu. Like many others, it wasn't my cup of tea, got an Ego a week
later, but it was amazing to find I didn't even miss my old tobacco friend.

Like another has said, just don't even think about it being your last cigarette.
Don't tell yourself your quitting. Keep the cigarettes where you normally do.

The e-cig will satisfy the nicotine addiction itself and soon get you off the
habit of the analogs. I don't really think the addiction itself is okay, but God,
it is better than the other poisons that tobacco has.

Good luck!

I wasn't going to quit. I knew I was eventually and kept putting it off. I had some extra money and found this site. After reading for a few days and actually deciding what model I was going to get. I went ahead and ordered my pv.

Once I got it, I was so impressed. I had maybe 2 cigs the first day I got it. My first morning cigs the next couple of days and from then on NO cigs! It is quite remarkable.

I've been vaping for about 4 weeks. I'm still at 36mg but I don't chain vape by any means. I take a few puffs and put it down. Only do that about every 1/2 hour to an hour.

Eventually, I am going to start lowering my nic. I figure, I smoked a PAD for 24 years. I'm not going to hurry this process. Take it slow.

It's amazing how many people don't know about e-cigs. I was one of them in June of this year.

It took me 2 days to be on the e-cig after 42 years of smoking analogs. I am still shocked that I quit smoking. With the e-cig, it was so much easier than I had imagined. I am very close to 1000 analogs not smoked. Should happen either tonight or tomorrow. That number just blows me away, because I've been smoking a little over 2 packs a day for many of those 42 years.

I plan to get down to 0 nicotine and if I still want to vape, which I'm sure I will, I'll continue to do so. What could be the harm in that? Nicotine, tar, and cancer properties versus a 0 nicotine, 0 tar, 0 cancer properties. DUH! It's a no brainer for me. I don't even think about analogs anymore, but don't even think about taking away my e-cig or I'll break your fingers with a wet noodle!

Smoked a pack a day for probably the last 15 years at least. This past Thursday I woke up and smoked 2 analogs before my VaporKing arrived. Opened that up, vaped all day and night while drinking, came home from boozing smoked my last analog(told myself it was my goodbye smoking cig) and threw a half pack in the trash. Haven't had a smoke since then. Its friggen crazy. Everytime I run out the house though I keep patting myself down for my cigs and lighter and then remind myself I'm done with em. I didn't think it would be this easy but now that I haven't had an analog in over 36 hours I'm not even gonna think about putting another one in my mouth.

Oh and I forgot to add-I went to a party the other day at an outdoor bar and there were surprisingly quite a few smokers there. One of the people offered an analog to me and I refused-couldn't believe I didn't even have the urge at all. Their smoke didn't offend me too badly, but it didn't smell good either, which was a huge surprise to me. I had a small altoid box with me that I carry a small bottle of juice in along with a 510 drip tipped atty and a small batt (dura C)-I took a few hits when I felt a desire and that was it- no cravings whatsoever-I was very proud of myself and felt very happy about the whole experience :)

I got my ecig a month or so ago then completely stopped analogs i lasted a week without any just using my ecig. I then went back to smoking analogs big mistake. I am now currently been completely analog free for the last 3 days i just hope this time i don't go back to the nasty analogs again. I think some people are different and can just kick it right there and then but the ecig is definetely a god send for getting off the analog habit.

It depends on your original intent. I started ecigs with the expectation that eventually they would replace my smoking habit. I went from 2PAD to 10 analogs the first day, dropped that to 7 the second week, and have remained there for around 3 months. I intend to quit as my desire fades, and it will eventually.

I'm not good at cold turkey. I feel like I'm depriving myself if I do. Time will heal my analog addiction and ecigs have replaced 5/6 of the consumption already.

I have not smoked over 3500 analogs since I started vaping. That is progress!
