I'm still just a wee bit embarrassed that I did not see the millennial post coming up, but it was worth it. :D

Good morning, Army!!

Go forth and help somebody..in New Members. :)

I'm making a point of going over to NM section. Even if the only thing I can do is welcome them or bump a thread that is in danger of slipping off the page before they get an answer to a question.

Interesting...just did some figuring. That's 900 ml sitting there. It cost me $386. Under $0.43/ml. If spread over 365 days in a year, that is 2.47 ml/day...I probably vape a little more than that but let's go with it. That is a monthly cost of $32.17. I just checked my store the other day and the cost of my cigs just went up again to $35.05 per carton. So WOW! I smoked two packs a day at $7.01/day at current prices. Where was I going with this....darn!...OH! So if I still smoked it would cost me $2,558.65 per year. Good golly Miss Molly.

I'm so glad I vape now!

Tobacco cigs in my area is $70.00 a carton! That is why I gave them and turned to e-cigs 19 months ago. You would save even more in Illinois......

They were $80 a carton here for B&H 3.5 years ago. $10.25 for a single pack of 25's. It was not the reason I quit though. I would have happily continued to pay that if Vaping had not worked out..

I breathe better. I sleep better (for a trucker that matters). I can actually taste Mamaw's cooking again, evident by the 30 pounds I've gained in the last year and a half (really need to do something about that). I Live better.
After 40 years of tobacco and countless tries with patches, gums, and other systems I don't really care what it costs. I am grateful for the improved health vaping has given me, and look forward to the time yet to come. :thumb:

Yeah, mine are one of the cheapest prices I've heard of. That's why it was so difficult for me to break even, and stay on the savings side.

Wow crazy how high the cost is of smoking! Personally we are spending quite a bit more because we rolled our own (around $7 per carton) but I'm enjoying the vaping so much more. I see it as medical care and a hobby all in one :p

Since I'm still in the taxes mode I looked up if vaping may be tax deductible. Of course I already knew the answer...but I still looked!

From the IRS for medical deductions: •Payments for acupuncture treatments or inpatient treatment at a center for alcohol or drug addiction, for participation in a smoking-cessation program and for drugs to alleviate nicotine withdrawal that require a prescription

DARN! ;)

My reasons were two-fold...health and money. But the money part isn't working so well because I can't quit spending on vaping gear! And my cigs were cheap. At 1.5 years in...I've saved $23.93. But I have a lifetime of supplies.

I HAD to quit smoking. My wife's lung collapsed and she had no choice but to quit. I knew that I couldn't be smoking while she was struggling to quit. It would have made it all but impossible for her. (She was the last person on earth that would have quit smoking if not for her lung collapsing.)

I had quit many times but always started back. I had quit for several months using the patch, but eventually started back again a few months before her episode. Then, when her lung collapsed I knew I had to find some other way to quit.

I'm so happy I found e-cigs and, eventually, HHV. And I made a whole bunch of new friends in the process. :thumb:
