Got news for you Lion, we just got slammed in a matter of an hour. Went from nothing to 3" in no time flat. Folks are stuck all over the place and there will be many who don't make it home tonight (including my redneck neighbor who has the monster truck I need to pull my wife's car up the hill). Your testosterone will meet it's match if you get what we are getting here. :)

You guys are sweet. But I am no rookie at this game....

I have reserved a room at the nearby Marriot Hotel (which can be cancelled free of charge before midnight) which is just a short cab ride away from the Siegel Center. Should conditions be as bad as they are expected by the time the game ends (9:30 or so) I will notify my companion of this contingency plan. She will no doubt be both impressed and grateful for my attention to detail...

I always keep emergency supplies in my car in the winter, BTW. I hope they will be a non-issue for us.

Yes. Ice is coming. It's already been here for several hours. easily 6" of snow, now the icing, up to 1/2 inch or more before tomorrow. Then it's supposed to get into the low- mid forties Thursday Afternoon. If I should 'disappear' for the evening, it most likely will mean we've lost power. I think we are as prepared for that event as we could be....

9:30 sounds familiar...

Oh right, that's when the ice is supposed to be at it's peak.

Also that plan.... I'm not your wife and I'm impressed. If that's worth anything :p

Well, I don't have a wife...you do know I am single, right? I am not running around behind my spouse.

But imagine you are leaving a game, had a great time, we get outside and the ground is covered with 6" of snow...your handsome, tall, dark-haired date says, "no worries, I got a room over there just in case of bad weather. Wanna crash there tonight and I will get you home in the morning?"

That really wouldn't impress you? Maybe I overestimate my own cleverness...we shall see!

I know that in England ale was the drink du jour literally through to probably the 1850's - because water had so many impurities that it could give you dysentery or cholera. I guess the fermentation ridded water of some of those bacteria. It was weaker because it was a replacement for water.

I've read somewhere (?) that until the late 18th century, beer was considered a woman's drink. Real Men drank liquor.
Maybe there is a reason why women ask "where have all the good men gone ?" Quit Drinking Her Beer !

My sincerest heartfelt condolences to your uncle. Man! To me that's like killing your kids if they get out of the yard.

What's going in army.
I pop in and out and by the time I read posts its a day or more behind so I never bother to reply. Works busy, all I do is OT so no time for much of anything lately. Me and my lady have almost killed 200ml of shadow since late December so I need to reup for sure.
For Valentine's, I picked up my girl a new MVP to replace her old one I tossed the other day, and a bunch of aero tanks. How's that for love ...
My uncles dogs got out the other day and were turned into the shelter. The shelter rather then follow the 3 day protocol of waiting KILLED his healthy dogs within 2 hours. Its even been on the news here and he's flipping out. Not cool at all. If this was me I'd honestly be in jail.
Well that's about it over here. Hope everyone is healthy and in good spirits. Enjoy your day folks.

Ah THAT I didn't know. I just jumped to conclusions my bad.

Also I think you misunderstood me. I'm saying I WOULD be impressed. And most certainly 10x more when I'm cold and have ice falling all over me.

I don't know, it sounds like you are ahead if it is an issue. :)

What is called "beer" in the USA, up till recently with the advent of ale and micro breweries is commonly known as "lager" in Europe - and that is considered a woman's drink over there. Bud, Coors et al have a rather poor reputation in GB. :)

That may apply to the U.S but certainly not to the rest of the world. Well known fact that most U.S folk that appreciate good beer, come up to Canada to buy it. ;) :p

No offense meant, and hope this is taken in the same light as when I have to endure the Lion's ribbing. :D

LOVED Newkie back in the day…..

Hey now! Why did I get pulled into your attack on American Beer? I actually agree with the large brewers in America are making a very forgettable product. I am not a really big beer guy, so you can flail away at US beer companies and fear no reprisal from this Panthera Leo. I do like some of the smaller US breweries. The only beer I really enjoy is Newcastle, which is of course neither US or Canadian brewed, it is brewed at the John Smiths Brewery in Tadcaster, UK. I only want it from the tap, which makes all the difference in the world (I know, just like every other beer, but it is particularly true with this one!). The only time I really desire this brew is when I am having wings.

Try a multivitamin Robin. B12 can cause dizziness and memory loss specially if you don't eat a lot of animal products (cheese/eggs/meat). I think it's something to do with oxygenation of red cells on their travels round your bod not moving as fast as you do which causes that faintness ….April would know more about that though.

I just see friends ragging on each other the way that friends do.

Back from the docs. Everything looks good, tests that were done in the ER look great. I have some balance exercises to do that will strengthen my inner ear balance thingy. Since it was a one time episode, just the exercises for now. If it happens again then more in depth testing will be required.

Pretty much what I figured.

I'll live :)

The memory loss was probably from the drug that starts with a 'V'. I have a low tolerance for drugs.
