I was out of town Tuesday through Thursday. The 3.1 was waiting here when I got home last night. I washed it with Dawn and let it dry overnight.

I built my first microcoil this afternoon. 10 or 11 wraps of 28ga kanthal on a 5/64 (1.8mm +/-) drill bit. It's reading 1.8 ohms on my Provari, so I consider that a success!

It's vaping fine. But I think I screwed up when I filled it (from the top - not through the fill screw thingy). I didn't hold my finger over the air hole and then flip it upside down like pbusardo shows. I'm getting a tiny gurgle ever so often, so I think I flooded it just a bit.

But I like it fine. I'm not getting the "amazing" flavor I've heard about, but the coil and wick are brand new so I didn't expect it either.

P.S.: I know you offered to buy it from me if I didn't like it, but I think it's a keeper. Plus, my wife and I used it in bed last night, so you probably wouldn't want it. :D

bump up the wattage a tad, hold it veriticle, draw on it easy, long and slow a few times.... it will clear up the gurgle.

I get wonderful vapor...but the flavor isn't there. It's very easy to fill and making a coil isn't anything different than a Vivi except for the small screws. I'll keep it in my rotation...but I still prefer dripping. I really think a Reo is the answer for me...and maybe one day I'll suck it up and spend the money for one. And I will NEVER be able to choose my color.... One day I say black wrinkle...and the next day copper...and then the next day maroon.

Copper Vein (I have one) is not a good color as the oils in your hands will turn the powder coating brown. My newest VV Grand is a Black Wrinkle with a Metallic Purple door and I love it. Easier to grip and no fading/ changing in the finish.
If you are serious about a REOS you might want to start checking the Classies. Several REONauts are selling their older mods to get ready for the Woodvil Sale. And if you get a REOS, get an RM2 with it.

You might need a little more wick next time , and I do use the flip method to fill , BK doesn't but he's got to go against the grain on everything , I just like what works and I stick with it , it may take you a few tries to get the amount of wick right , the other thing that can cause a gurgle is the o-rings make sure they're seated properly .

I dont go against the grain... I use the " go against the flow" 100VG has great viscosity it takes awhile to seep up those juice channels :)

ahhh found it, it was hiding amoungst the pots in the cabinet posing as a tall skinny pot with ( and the give away sign it wasnt a pot) a cord attached to it.....

I had a chat with it and found out it has issues..
It told me life is nothing but a grind and wants to be better than what it is, wants to spice things up, play with fire, wants to get steamy and hot, wants to be a pot..

I told it you are what you are, but if you need to know elsewise, I think of you as a mini KitchenAide food processor in which you do best at turning those lovely little brown 1/2 spheroids into particles of joy... no other item in this kitchen can do that... not even Mr. Blender.

well CG smiled and said lets do this... lets make joy!!

Today we get to mow all that grass we planted at the MIL's house. It will be the first mow of many.

this was taken a couple of weeks ago.

We will no doubt invest in a riding law mower before summer hits us.

Well, you'll just have to get one in each of your favorite colors! Problem solved.

We are talking RJ here, Queen of the "Break Even" Concept. While a couple VV Grand at home and a couple more Grand for out and about would enrich her life :), I just don't see it happening.
Besides, we already know which color she will eventually choose; RED ! as in Roll, Tide, Roll ! :D
