Yup Halo gets my vote for the Arrogant Azzes of vaping award , maybe I shouldn't see it that way but it just comes across to me that way , you're not entitled to know what we use in our juice , buy it and choke , no refunds on open bottles of eliquid yada , yada , me gives Halo the finger while I vape my Legend with the other hand .I get my HHV at 50/50 which I'm OK with. I won't buy from a vendor that doesn't list the VG/PG percentage because they think it's some super secret formula.
Indeed we did! I'm not a Scotch drinker so I did not have it to compare to...though Bappo did. Sadly, my Dad was a heavy drinker the last several years of his life and I believe that's what killed him (pancreatic cancer). Dewars was his weapon of choice. That kind of ended any thought of me being a Scotch drinker.

The similarity to Dark Horse was quite apparent...
...but, the fact that we had a similar palette with the "third" layer was kind of cool.
So I got my KFC rebuilt from scratch with all the replacement SS parts and new screws from Retic. Microcoil with organic cotton ball using 28 g with 8 wraps and coming in at 1.9 ohm. So we'll see. And as always the vapor looks like the subohmers on youtube (LOL!)...I've always been very happy with the amount of vapor this thing puts off. Flavor is just OK to me but it isn't broken in completely yet so we'll see. I'm just spoiled by the awesome flavor from dripping me thinks. At least this time it isn't as metallic. It took entirely too much time and threading that wire around those posts sucks with my carpal tunnel. And I'm so used to recoiling Vivis in under 5 minutes and change is hard. I think I prefer a standard coil with 32 g...it's easier for me to work with. But it is done. I think I'll play around with the voltage to see if I can bring more flavor out. For $21 it's pretty good. But I keep gazing lovingly at my attys.

But I've got my eye on a new tank. Trouble is if I buy it I'll have to get another mech for it. It's 23mm roundHHV flavors are so hard to describe. Adam has never really been into the straight-up tobaccos. The kinds where you can say where you definitely taste the Virginia or Burley, or Latakia, or Perique, etc... But of all his NETs, his "Earthy" flavors are the closest to authentic tobacco. Like you, I was a little surprised at the flavor of Gaia. I don't see this as an ADV or and EDV but is a pleasant vape that I will enjoy from time to time. It has that alluring "malt" (or as you describe, "scotch") twist to it.

Can't wait to hear from the Dark Horse enthusiasts. I know Smitty loves DH. Who was the other one? Was it Dreamer?
I also want to try it at a lower wattage with my 1.2 ohm dual dripper. I wonder if the taste will change?

I'd wager that the color never changes too. It will always be near-clear no matter the age.

I was thinking the same thing, Dusty. I wrapped 10 or 11 wraps (11 I think) of 28ga around a 5/64ths drill bit (1.8mm +/-) and it was testing at 1.8 ohms. I just tested it again after a full day of use and it's at 1.9 ohms.
That's EXACTLY what I had decided before I found HHV. I had decided that I was doomed to vape only bland RY4's because they were the only ones that didn't have some funny "whang", and they would keep me off the stinkies.
The first HHV juice I tried was Heavenly Tobacco and it truly was love at first vape. And I love it as much today (18 months later) as I did then. I now love several of the HHV NETs almost as much as Heavenly Tobacco. It's soooooo great to be in that "happy place" with juices.
General, did you have much trouble with the weather there in N.C.? Any power outage issues? I saw that you got the vehicle retrieved.
