Well, clearly my thinking is in the minority because they sell for near/full price so as long as people are willing to pay that much then it is worth whatever it sells for. As I say though, I just do not get it.

I understand. To me, getting it new is easily worth the 15% premium. But it's nice to know if you get one and don't like it, you can recoup much of your expense.
