I'll take your word for it, Retic, not having a 3.1 to look at. One question though, is the rim of the insulator (the larger end) still facing out towards the 510 threads and contact pin? The main point of having that rim is to keep the contact pin from touching inside the thread tube and base of the tank. If the rim isn't there it's liable to short out.

Yup you have complete access from either direction on the 3.1 , I just go on the side of caution as far as the threads are concerned but it can be inserted from either side of the catch cup .

    LOL Love the pic, Hula.

While vaping with the whole thing upside down will work, you may also get a mouthful of juice and/or condensation. yuck!!! Best practise is to blow through the air intake hole while it's upside down and have a tissue handy. I usually run the tissue up the chimney a little ways while blowing. Stops the gurgle and leaking.

Robin is right, sometimes leaking can be caused by over wicking.

Correction , Chak you got me to thinking and I pulled the cups off of both 3.1's , I can go from either side on the FT 3.1 but not the HCIGAR 3.1 the hole in the HCIGAR's catch cup is definitely smaller on the inside so you were right about the HCIGAR , the hole on the FT version is the same diameter inside and out go figger two different clones . :)

I'll have to get me one of those 3.1's just so I can say I have the complete set and also be of more help. If Hula's Provari starts showing errors, we'll know what to check first, eh?

I think the HCIGAR's setup is more secure in this respect , since the insulator stops you from overtightening the contact pin because depth is limited , but the FT version is more dependant upon the threading in the center post as a stop and the insulator is more of a washer , but performance is identical . Hula shouldn't have any problems with hers though , I haven't needed to strip the HCIGAR to the same extent as the FT version , I've replaced everything that isn't nailed down in that one including the positive block , the center post , the contact pin and all the screws including the AFC .

After all this talk about rebuilding RBAs I decided to crack out my Nemesis clone and rebuild my other mini RDA with a lower ohm coil. I run the other one on my ITaste MVP at around 1.8 ohms so I decided to go a little lower for the Nemesis, at around 1.1 ohms. Heavenly Tobacco tasting pretty heavenly on it! I think I'll be reordering this as well, seems like a good idea to have a bottle of non-NET for consistency's sake.

Out to deal with my car today. Hope ya'll have a great day when you guys get up!

Just a quick check in Army. Happy Easter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good to hear the news Robin, I can't remember everything else I read.
    Anyway. Happy Easter.
Be safe, Be blessed. Alergies have taken their toll on my only good eye. Came home yesterday with it swollen shut. Bummer. Least I got some stuff to help it a bit.

If you have anyone close to hug and love, Hold em tight and treasure em.

Flipper! How goes it? You had some surgery a couple months ago yes? Everything OK or better now? And a very happy Easter vapeversary to you both!

Hi Hula, thank you so much! Yes, it's been 5 months since I had my gallbladder out. I'm better but still recovering and pursuing pain management for my FM, neck and back pain, and neuropathies.

The first epidural steroid injection from the first of this month helped somewhat and I have another coming up next month. The healthcare here is excellent and tops in the nation. Lord Pancake and I try to laugh as much as possible also, since its good medicine ya know ;)

We're pulling for you Mrs. Robin, hoping the best for you!! :)

That's my girl!! And so glad you had a wonderful family easter.

Good evening army...boy was I behind on my reading. Bappo so glad things went well for your mom and safe travel home. Hula very happy you're getting the hang of the KFL...love mine and you will need a second one soon. We had a wonderful Easter, early morning church then down to our daughters to spoil Nellie and a fabulous brunch. We went to a restaurant close to their home that serves the hugest brunch I've ever seen, so many types of food and yummy deserts. I ate enough food to last me a week...and have been worthless since. I need to clean and rewick my KFLS to prepare for the week and ready for my Huntsman/Maple Eh combo in one.

Don't worry at all retic! I think it's fine and the provari is happy. On the other hand, in Hula's world, one can never have too many rubber thingies. The one I had left shot across the room when i was trying to squeeze the thing in the tube, and that was a lotta fun finding that. Luckily my eagle eye watched it sail merrily over and behind the chair, so after a little furniture rearrangement all was well.

Hula after checking both my 3.1's thanks to Chak , I realised I didn't give you correct information regarding the version you have , if it gives you any problems let me know and I'll replace the insulator for you , sorry about that .

No Hula I should have double checked it before telling you that , all the parts on both my 3.1's are interchangeable , I can take any part off of either one and simply screw it on the other , because of that I assumed that they were identical except the HCIGAR has a much better fit and finish , I usually know better than to assume anything but sure as hell that parts the only one machined differently than the other , I would have noticed right away if I had reason to strip it down as far as my FT 3.1 but I haven't needed to , as I said if it acts up I will take care of it .

That insulator has a two-fold purpose, at least on the KFL; first and foremost it guards against shorts caused by the positive contact pin touching the negative base/casing, and secondly, if the contact screw is snug tight against it, as it should be, it seals off any juice that may be seeping down and around the central air shaft from getting out into the 510 connection. I imagine, it could also seal juice from seeping out the collector tank on the 3.1
