Being a stay at home mom is tough. Not much socializing, especially if you live in a small town. Can drive yourself bat-sheet crazy. Hope your health issues are resolved soon.

Ain't that the truth! And I'll be ok :) it's been going on a while and no real way to fix it, it just makes normal stuff a lot harder. So like I said way too much time on my hands anymore lol

Okay.... heres the news on the hand..
surgery in the a.m. going to be put into sleep mode, time expected is 3-4 hours, skin graft from heal of left hand to index finger, exploritory/repair of middle and ring finger ( tendon repair/ nerve relocation). Little finger is doing well, ( nicked no nerve damage).
Since the ER Dr. sutured everything all up, the orthopedist needs to re-open to determine amount of damage to nerves and tendons, she is expecting medium to severe damage to tendons ( which will require repair) due to preliminary testing and viewing the pictures I took of my hand before stitching was done, she is expecting severe nerve damage ( for some reason saws have a tendency to remove material when cutting ;) ) there was some concern about blood flow being an issue too... but at this point there seems to be enuf to keep things alive.

Keep your chin up!

My Jax friend had a lump cut out of her hand a few days ago. They re-dressed it today. She sent me the picture. Know you are not alone. :)

I missed if this was your dominant hand or not. Hoping it's not.

Best of luck with the surgery tomorrow!

You too Robin.

Well, 150 posts to go. I think that will tide us over through the night. I need to be around to kill this thread and start the new one in Adam's forum. But if Chak and Hula get to jawjacking who knows. :)

Just need the night crew to ease up if we're getting close. I'll check in the AM and do the deed if necessary.
Gotta tell you there's this little bad girl inside of me that wants to go a few over and screw this up. I wouldn't though.
And if I did I'm sure that could be remedied.

I'll keep my chattering to a minimum for a while.

Sounds reassuring - hope all goes well, BK!

They always check that stuff Bun. No worries, I've been in 5 times or more for various stuff and they always do all that - they need a baseline to make sure all will be straightforward, and if it isn't what sort of anaestheisa et al you may need. Hang in there Bud All will be well

Mornin All... :)

I get to go get an EKG ( ecg??) some kind of eletro something to find out if my heart is working... why do i need it if they are going to use a nerve block in the wrist to do the surgery?? just find it odd to require that.... I even have to bathe with hibiclense and no food etc after midnite tonite... unless :( they didnt tell me something...

Bwahahahaaaaaa!

Meanwhile, pay attention to the other General Mr BK.

Dude! You better get yourself ship-shape before my visit in July. That's an order!

Best of luck with the surgery tomorrow.

We're starting to look like an episode of M.A.S.H in here, with 1/2 the members in Scrubs, and the other half being treated by those in scrubs.. :(

Same way here Tim - though I get so fed up smelling it that I feel like i've eaten it 5 times over already and end up with a salad.

That sounds like something I do Dusty. Every time I cook. I never eat dinner. Always to busy taste testing the food while cooking.
