dont remember 312.... how is it?? hoppy? smooth? malty?

It's a Goose Island beer. It's a light hoppy IPA, not really strong, smooth finish ,no bitter ending. It's been a while since I've had it. I generally like a very strong IPA, but this was Goose Islands first attempt for a local IPA.

Fat Tire Amber Ale is rather tasty....

    I've never cared for IPA's , I'm not a hophead . :)

Torch, wrap on drill-bit, squeeze and torch again. Simple!!

To be honest - I'm still learning about Beer. I've only been drinking craft brews over the last 4 years. I had a friend turn me on to Dogfish and I never looked at a Miller, Coors or Bud product again. I tend to like IPA / whiskie type of beers. I've gone to a few craft brew events (Milwaukee, WI; Peoria, IL) and really like to meet and talk with people that like home made beers. It's like vaping ;) My friend brews his own stuff 2 or 3 times a year, and it's really good. He does a wheat ale that just tastes really good. I was actually thinking of starting some brew myself - since I have some extra time on my hands. My friend has a manual bottler and a keg filler-thingie.

For real - they look like they were machine made - amazing. I think I need one of the wrapper things I see people making all the time. I can't wrap worth a poop. I mean, I try my best, but I would never put a picture up LOL. I get my coils firing even in the end, but they don't look like what you just did :)

I got a story about Guinness. Before the kids, and when my wife and I were just married, she was going to school. In her study group, one of the girls, her husband worked for Guinness/Smirnoff - and I got to tour the plant in Plainfield, IL. It's not like a brewery - just a straight up bottle facility. I got seriously ripped that day, they were just starting up the Smirnoff side of the plant. I had beer products coming out of my yahoo. He gave me cases and cases of stuff - and they are allowed to do that! Any friends of the people that work there, allowed to drink for free "Taste" any product they want.

I have one of those, but never use it. The little one may get more use out of it..
