Awesome, do you reheat the wrapped coils while still on the mandrel squeezed together?

No, I take the coil off the mandrel and squeeze it with tweezers before firing them.

I do that but the tweezers get hot before the coil does.

Is that rayon or cotton?

How much do you use?

I've got long self closing tweezers that I use to clamp the coil in. I don't feel the heat when firing the coils.

That's Rayon in there, and I start off with about a 3rd of the width from the cutout section, and then tweak it by pulling on either end to make it fit the coil.
