The wifey got the final blood test done and she is happy to report that she is cancer free... :)

Wonderful news! Prayers answered. Lots to be thankful for. I hope you get the day off today.

@retic1959 - So good to hear you are healing well! The amount of expected healing may be uncertain but since you're a guy who exceeds expectations all the time, I'd say there's every reason to hope. And aim high!

Happy thanksgiving y'all.
And congrats to Mrs BK for that splendid news!

I'm still lurking here, haven't forgotten the army. Just got nothing to say, tootling away my DF/Legend blend :D

Hope you have a great weekend and all that turkey and such :)
No thanksgiving here (still stuck in Germany), however I decided to still observe it. So it's a holiday for me while everyone has to work - the joys of freelancing :) (downside - wifey has to work tonight. so my pulled chicken sandwich dinner which has to do as turkey substitute is just for me :/ )

@retic1959 - happy your able to walk and that your able to decrease the pain meds.. awesome news and definitely something to be thankful for! Sorry about the feeling in your hands, but you really never know what will happen with time and healing - it may take a year or two, but you just never know. Keep hope, for real.

@Bunnykiller - that is so awesome! I couldn't be happier for her and you both! Just awesome!

@woita - yes your an American now, so even there you can celebrate thanksgiving! Chicken sandwiches work beautiful! It's about being thankful for what you've got!

Happy Thanksgiving Army ! :) I've been sleeping as much as possible and staying prone to keep my pain down and things are slowly improving , I'm able to go longer between doses of painkiller now . Typing however is a Royal PITA for me , I haven't regained feeling in my hands or arms yet and it's possible that I might not recover my sense of touch only time will tell . I am on the mend otherwise though , at least I can walk normally now so something to be thankful for at least .
Squeak! {{{retic}}} I'm SO happy that the pain is slowly dissipating, and hope that time will help with the feeling in your arms and hands. You were really in the wars and had major surgery done, so give it a while. But I'm glad to hear from you, specially as it takes a lot to type right now.

And coming up last in Honolulu, the ham is nearly done and we'll be chowing down shortly. This is such a wonderful holiday, I have so very much to be thankful for. And speaking of being thankful, I wish each and every one of you the very best. You're like family to me, and thank and love you ALL.

well.... I just got back from Natchez Ms. ( 340 miles round trip 6.5 hrs) had to leave as dinner was being pulled out of the oven o_O

Ill be taking the whole next week off to finish up the repairs to the back of the house... ( ohh joy) once that is done maybe I can re-start saving my pennies again... been wanting to buy myself something special for over 3 yrs now and everytime I get enuf saved up to get it something else takes presidence and requires those funds to be needed elsewhere... eventually I will get it :)

anyway... Im a bit tired.. been up 22 hrs and logged 500 miles today... one good thing, its a holiday and I get 100% of the price

A bunny killer's work is never done. :D

Sorry your dinner was cut short or delayed. But I do admire your positive attitude. Also your work ethic.

BK, that is fantastic news! I am so happy for both of you.

Today was good, and I ate too much, but I didn't get too stuffed. I happen to love smoked turkey. Topped it off with some homemade apple pie. (no I didn't make it)
My daughter's husband is still sick, and they didn't come. My son had dinner with his wife and mother in law today. I got home and took an extended nap. The dogs were happy I came home. They aren't used to me leaving them for that long. Poor dears! They are content now, and both asleep.

Good morning! I was so glad to hear most everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving... (with few exceptions, sorry for the exceptions).

I had a great Thanksgiving myself, went to my SIL's and had a lovely time, and great food.

Well, Good morning everyone and hope everyone has a lovely day today!

Good Morning Army. Survived another Holiday. Brought Remi (Urlacher's Brother) home for a few days. Judy won't admit it, but while she was between husbands Remi lived here, so it's familiar territory for him. Urlacher and Remi have always gotten along splendidly.

You're like family to me, and thank and love you ALL.
Why does the word "dysfunctional" come to mind ?

Anyways, if you wish to partake in the Black Friday Madness, have at it. Later might I get brave enough to run up to the movie theatre and buy a few gift certificates for my teenaged grandaughters, but that's about it. Like I haven't already seen enough traffic in my lifetime, right ?

Have a Safe and Blessed Day :)
