My male cat is a big boy, but not excessive. He goes bonkers for treats. He also loves to lick hand lotion from your skin. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The female is tiny. She refuses all cat food except kibble. She likes white fish - but only pan-fried in butter. Beef roast, but only if it’s moist. If it’s really good beef, she will growl at you if you get close to her while she’s eating it. Her main daily favorite is tuna, but only if it’s got mayo in it.

My cats are weird. Just like me! :)
lol. When we had Chiffy, she loved chorizo, prime rib from Outback and fried chicken breast from one of the best purveyors of it here in Honolulu. Quite the afficonado. GD on the other hand wouldn't touch any of that stuff. Her preferred was ..Jollibee (phillipino fried greasy chicken place, legs and thighs only, from the littlest chickens ever). Yuck.

anyway... that was a long 25 hrs... started at 2AM Thursday and my day just ended about 45 min a go... ( 3 am fri)
the nite guy is really rackin up the "brownie" points... hes on about 3 "sheet" lists now... dont think hes gonna be around much longer... manager is totally ticked off with his attitude and refusals to do runs... always has an excuse not to do them... like, hes doing laundry, washing the dog, changing the oil, etc... who in the world changes the oil in their car at nite?

but hey... I got 7 runs and 890 miles in... check is gonna be pretty :)

Anyone else making Christmas treats? We did peanut clusters tonight. Christmas crack, Texas Millionaire candy, and Neiman Marcus cookies tomorrow.

Just found out the Neiman Marcus cookie story is false.. Dang it. I liked that story!

Yes.. I'm making white chocolate cheesecake fudge (so good!), white chocolate dipped soft gingerbread cookies, pecan crescents, double chocolate chocolate chip cookies and 7 layer bars for treats.

Pies are pumpkin, pecan and French silk.

I love it! :)

Recipes if you want.

Bridget, I haven't made any treats in a long time. The kids aren't here, and it is just me and the pets. None of us at my house really need any treats, but we all love them anyway. Bella is on a diet, Cassie is a little chubby, both the cats need to lose more weight (I cut their food back too), and my son's dog is the only one who always maintains a great weight. He is the only lucky one, and can eat as much as he wants, without getting fat. (just like my son)

Ahhh... I don't "need" sweets, but I like having a sweet from time to time and baking for other people means I get a bite of something sometimes. .. :)

God knows if it weren't for baking for the people at hubbies work, or his family, or church, I'd never get anything sweet because hubby won't eat anything sweet so if I were to make a pan of brownies it would be up to me to eat the whole pan... hahaha... it wouldn't have been a problem 25 years ago.. today? Definitely a problem. . Lol.

Good Morning Army. Waiting on one more package - "Authentic" (i.e. Made in China) NFL Jerseys : Staubach (12), Payton (34), Olsen (88), McCaffery (22), Bruschi (54) and Jaworski (7). Kids and Spouses, and we're getting down to the wire here on delivery. Grandkids are easy - GameStop, Movie Theater or Money.

She'd be a lot smaller here...

You asked for that...

I'm guessing they are listening to Opera Music while dining...

ohh and BTW... last week was a record breaker for me... 3750 miles ... actually can save some money ( for my special toy I "need" ;) ) AND give the wifey a nice xmas present :)

Good Weeks behind the wheel make for good checks.

Have a Safe and Blessed Day :)

This is me exactly. I don't eat much of them myself. I'll make a couple of deliveries to close friends this afternoon, and I take stuff to my Mom's for Christmas Eve. I have a huge family-9 siblings.

I would love the gingerbread cookie recipe! That sounds amazing. I'm a sucker for a good soft cookie.

It's from a recipe I found last year or the year before - I made it exactly as it's written (with the exception of melting the almond bark in the microwave... i use a pan over boiling water, using some heavy cream if needed to thin) and it's probably the best soft gingerbread cookie ever. No need for any changes... they have been a hit, and a request at hubbies work, ever since I made them the first time.

Jam Hands: White Chocolate Dipped Chewy Gingerbread Cookies

Plus they are pretty! :)

I bought my son a gift for Christmas and had it shipped directly to him and I'm in the same boat.. I'm doubtful it will get to him on time.

Really have to order early for Christmas these days!

Oh well, I guess I am finding out Christmas has different meaning to different people.
Started a "Holiday Recipe" thread in the General Discussion Forum. About half of the posts so far are along the lines of "Add 1/2 Pint of Bourbon to Self" and "One Part Family, Two Parts Bourbon".

Chrismas means everything to me - but on such a different level than everyone else I think.

Well yesterday I did my shopping at two stores. So I got my mom and both kids a very modest present. (I got a joint present for each kid/spouse) I had to hurry up and do it, because today we are getting a boat load more of rain, which irks me. I got them all something useful, not cool or trendy. The stores here were jam packed, and so were the roads. Everyone knew that we are going to have bad weather today, so they are frantically trying to finish up their shopping too. We are under a flood watch until tomorrow morning. I'm not about to get out in the traffic today. I hear sirens and I know that I don't want to be in that mess.
My son and his wife should be here on Sunday, at least I hope so. I will have to call to see for sure. He has to make short visits with family spread around from both sides. I am happy for a short visit though, that is fine with me. I'd prefer a longer visit, but a short one is better than none.
As far as sweets go, I am a chocolate fanatic. I have to have a small amount everyday, it helps to keep me on an even keel...HA HA. If it has caramel and nuts with it, even better.
