home... finally... 22 hr day and Iz Tired...
but I had an interesting day... went to Thibidoux ( tib i doe for those who dont speak loozianne) had a delivery to the old part of town... while I was waiting for the place to open I went "next door" to the cematary ( where they bury the dead people ... cant spell cematary) and was kinda amazed at the life span of people back in the early 1800's... its like 45 yrs, some got to 60, but there was alot of 2-7 yr old headstones..
life must have been ruff back then... really ruff...
but what really finished off the night was an incident that leveled me... since alot of the roads in that area are 2 lane country type ( it was dark by now).. a set of headlites were coming down the road towards me and then the headlites flickered, swerved and the drivers side went out... emergency blinkers came on and as I pulled up there was a deer in my lane flailing about trying to get up ( heres where it gets harsh) the guy exits his truck with a handgun and shoots the deer 2 times and "puts it out of its misery".... a 9 point buck probably 220 lbs it was huge... the driver of the truck asked me to help him load it into the bed of his truck.... ( couldnt do too much anyway since it was in my lane).... so I helped him.... he told me if Im in the area again to come by and get some "venison" ( i got his phone number ).... this is probably the only time Ive seen someone "recoup" the cost of deer damage to a vehicle... and the good thing... Im gonna be in that area again tomarrow.. guess who is going to be eatin deer??

BK, I don't think I would accept the deer meat. The driver was right to put it out of it's misery, but whatever got busted up inside (intestines, stomach) could have spoiled the meat. Just my thoughts...

Anyone who knows how to butcher also knows what meat can be taken once in there...
I hit a deer with the car once.. it snapped the deer' s neck and ruined one shoulder, but everything else on that deer was fine...
Took her home butchered her just fine. ..
He won't be able to salvage all the meat but usually enough can be salvaged to have it be worth his time.. You almost never ruin an entire deer with a car...

Okay, I’m immature. I’m giggling here because the boys are discussing the size of their butts. It’s like the world has turned upside down. 
Topping the list of the worst things I’ve seen on the road: on the opposite lane from me on a back country road, a man in his late 30s (guessing) had hit a deer. I honestly don’t know if he was enraged or putting the poor creature out of its misery. He was using his fists.
Please. Like women have never watched football because of the pants they wear ?
Oh, indeed they do. And women frequently talk with each other about the size of their butts. Men usually don’t. See what I mean?
