Yes, food should lure him in. It may take a few days. He may have to toss him some food the first few times. But eventually, he'll get close enough to pet him and that's what will build trust.

He remembers my husband from that day, hubby thinks.. the dog came running up to my husband yesterday evening during his lunch break happy to see him and get petted.

Hubby wanted to talk to me before bringing him home, so didn't bring him right then and there, and didn't have time to run back and get him before going back to work...

He really thought the dog would come when called when he got off work, but he didn't - although the way all small animals around here act at night, I'm going to say there is very good reason for that, he was likely hiding out by then...

So, we are going to try again today. .. weather is good today, and when it's light out he should - in theory - come when called for.

Just have to wait for my husband to wake up and have his coffee first, I wake him at 10 am...

Credit card got hacked again. Two transactions. One for $800+ the other for $1,000+. They denied the thief on the $1,000 with the $800 one tipping them off. I'm not responsible for any of it but my account has been cancelled and a new card will be expedited and I'll have it tomorrow. This about the fifth time my card(s) have been hacked.

Good Morning Army. Time to get uptown for PT.
Bronze, I always keep a couple hundred on me (trucker thing). I always ask if they "accept cash".
Always brings a smile. :D

Have a Safe and Blessed Day :)
I don't have to pay for the fraud. If I did, I'd carry cash too. :)

Knew a guy who always carried cash. Anywhere between $3K - $5K. And he'd flash it around. I always told him I hoped he carried a gun in his other pocket. Saw an older guy at the haircut joint the other day. Looked like he had his grandson in for a haircut. He paid for the thing with cash. Pulled out a metric assload of cash. Had to be a solid 2" stack of cash when folded in half (if not more). Thought the same thing...hope he's packin' some heat.

And as you know, the prep is worse than the procedure.

Ain't that the truth!!

Got a different prep this time. Not that gallon of stuff you have to force down every hour. It's called suprep.

2 doses and have to drink 2 - 16 oz bottles water within an hour of drinking a 16 oz glass of this stuff.

We'll see how this goes. ;)

That doesn't sound as bad.

Yes, it is. I'd like to mangle the guy's face. Would take me only 10 seconds. :)

Opinionated, I hope the dog comes back. You'd be surprised how dogs and cats can compromise. It may take months for them to get used to each other. My daughter's old cat takes a long time to warm up to a new dog. Even the wild cat finally got used to Bella. Let the both of them take as long as they need, don't rush them. Watch them both like a hawk initially, in case you need to step in.

My son's old dog is mostly fine with the cats here, unless they decide to swat him, and then it is on. He is an unusual case, and he is the varmit catcher. Bella likes the cats, but respects the claws. Wild cats or trespassing cats are definitely treated differently. Cassie has not felt the claws yet, but she follows Bella's lead. She knows the cats are supposed to be here, and she is usually good around them. She would like to play with them, but the cats are NOT interested in that type of relationship. If I pet one animal here, another usually comes up for attention too. I pet them both at the same time. That way jealousy is usually pretty tolerable here. I've actually seen the old cat drink out of the same water bowl with Cassie at the same time. That was a surprise, but a welcome one. If Cassie gets too wild around the cats, Bella steps in and lets her know to cool it some. I am lucky that I have Bella, she has been such a help around here!

The dog we weren't gonna get? If he will come home with hubby, on whatever day he will come home - he will be ours.

This is a real bad time honestly as I'm worried about money as it is, worried about lots of things, but this dog apparently needs a home - and he (the dog) chose us weeks ago and we never realized it at the time.

Him and the cat are going to have some serious problems. .. I hope they can figure it out! I'm worried they won't as the cat is deathly afraid of dogs..deathly afraid.

But a few weeks back - can't remember how long ago but the weather was nice, although this year that might not mean much, but I'm thinking sometime before thanksgiving anyway - this dog was running around the yard and trying to get in our house. ..

He was a sweet friendly hound dog, he was trying to play with the cat and just loved everyone and loved life... and GORGEOUS... wow, such a sleek beautiful dog... looked to be a young (perhaps a year old, maybe a bit younger) pureblood redbone or similar breed... but you could tell, he was someone's pet, someone's hunting dog. Very well cared for from appearance sake.

That was why when he tried coming in the house when I opened the door my husband said no, not to let him in... so I petted the dog a while, but we didn't let him in or feed him.

The reason was because he looked to be someone's dog - acted like it too... he KNEW he was supposed to come in when we opened the door, didn't think twice. Perhaps he had gotten out, but we thought surely as soon as his parents realize he got loose they would be along for him - and there was no collar so we couldn't just keep him til we could find his family... no phone number to call.

So hubby thought our best bet would be to leave him run loose, easier for his family to find him then when they came looking - we didn't want to make it harder for them to find their dog.

We never saw the dog again and just assumed his owners found him and brought him home...

Til yesterday, and now I want to cry. he had made his way now to the top of the mountain, and is living wild since the day we saw him at the house - up around hubbies work. ..

He's thin, hubby said...

people at my husband's work said they are surprised he hadn't seen the dog up there before now... because he's living up there for at least a couple weeks. ..

So, hubby is going to bring him here if he will come. He didn't last night because when he went to come home the dog didn't come when he called for him. But it was night... and at night he was probably sheltered up to keep safe from larger predators. ..

So we are going to try again today. . Whatever day he will come, we are just going to keep him.

Poor doggy. :(

Poor, poor old kitty whose home is about to get invaded!:(

your search for nirvana is over.... ;)

I do have high hopes for the Prime, kinda wondering about the couple of posts I read, about the air leak out the top of the AFC. I will most likely have it set on the smallest air flow setting. Which is the way it was being used when that was reported. I have not had a Tobacco flavored juice sense I first started vaping, almost 5 years ago. I got my shipping notice today. :) I really hope I get it by Saturday.

Vape Mail ! HHV and four VTG6 batteries for my next TC mod, which is enjoying a slow boat ride.
Just got home from helping Son-in-Law with his Tahoe. Water Pump, hoses, belts, thermostat, whole nine yards. My 'help' consisted of "Turn your wrench over" and "Turn your clamp over before you put the hose in so you can get to it." He built a beautiful wrap-around deck on his house this summer from Cedar post/ frame and Composite decking. Complete with jacuzzi and fire pit. And he is an installer. serviceman for AT&T, so he is a techie. Just don't ask him to go under a hood. I inspected his parts, supervised his work (Hey Brett, how does this serpentine belt go on ?) and six hours later he had completed his repairs with no leaks. He was positively beaming ! I just wanted to get back home...
Although Judy seemed to appreciate my 'assistance'.
So, anyways, first bottle of Gaia arrived today. Cap & dripper for 24 hours, then how long do I let it age ?

I'm doing a bunch of stuff to my truck too Pops. At 25 years old I try to get ahead of things before they conk out. Next up is replacing the oxygen sensor. You wouldn't believe how buried it is. Ever take one off? It's screwed into the exhaust and rust welded in. Been hitting it with PB Blaster the last few days just so it can soak in as much as possible. Getting a wrench on it will be quite interesting. Getting leverage will be even more interesting. Figuring out how to reach the plug on the other end will be the most interesting. I don't know why I sign myself up for these jobs.

Neighbors have two big dogs. Pretty aggressive...a Pit and a boxer/bulldog mix. They bring home two kittens. The dogs killed one of them (despite their efforts to keep them away from the dogs). They tightened up their security and the other kitten made it to adulthood. After awhile the cat started expanding his territory into dogland. Naturally the dogs went after him but kitty was full grown by then and his killer instincts were primed. The boxer/bulldog went to maul the cat and the cat ripped into his face and sent him squealing two rooms over with his tail stuck between his legs. The dog never messed with him again. The Pit decided to be friends with him. :)
