I am on the east coast touring colleges with my youngest.
I was just in Boston last week. I'm originally from Connecticut, and I can tell you this weather is atypical for this time of year. They're getting February in April. Lol.

That being said, Boston is a great city. What schools is she looking at?

Long story short, Pirate's Booty once tasted exactly the same as Dragon's Fire. It changed about New Years Day, 2013. So if you tired of it, it might be because it changed. And it changed a lot. If by chance you unknowingly got caught up in that snafu you might want to consider giving Dragon's Fire a shot to relive the days when you enjoyed Pirate's Booty.

Greetings everyone!

I am on the east coast touring colleges with my youngest. We have had some fun weather, which I hoped for bc she needs to know what she’s getting into. Snow in Boston and lots of grey and rain the last 2 days. In Philadelphia now, DC tonight to finish up the week. Seeing the colleges in person is very helpful (but I really don’t want her to go so far away from me).

Hope everyone is well!

Hi April! I was just thinking of you. Enjoy your travels! I hope your daughter chooses well. :)

I’d agree that Boston is culturally a better choice of city, though the weather is harsher than Philly. I grew up near Philly and have no wish to return to that city. Very rough town. Other than the history in DC that’s incredible to experience, the rats and roaches resident there make it a bleak, dark and oppressive town to live in. I’ll leave it at that as to whether I’m referring to the human (politician and lobbyist) or critter population.

I see a guy I really like on American Idol. I think he supremely talented. I may be biased though, he is a Texas guy and I truly enjoy that type of music. Check him OUT!

On the first song he took a popular song, and redid it. That was truly genius what he did with it!

I finally got to listen and you’re right! Extremely talented guy. He has a sweet and humble quality too. Whether or not he wins, he can certainly go places with music! Vocally, he reminds me of Jonny Lang - another guy who seemed too young to have a voice that deep, rich and strong.

My red box near products has jumped to an awesome "13". I don't know what I doing but I guess I doing it well.
Mine has been jumping all over the place. Good thing it isn't my blood pressure.

Pretty sick that I know the dates of some of these things. I was too embarrassed to give the exact date so I ballparked it so as not to appear like a geek.

Yes, he does have a bit of Jonny Lang. The main song I liked from him was Lie to Me. I played the heck out of that song several years ago. I never got weary of hearing it.

I've been to CT only once in my life. A business trip to Hartford. In and out in a couple days. :)
The old lady is from Alabama. I took her up there a few years back and she said "how do people live like this"? Lol. We were stuck in traffic all the way from the GWB to New Haven. I told her the locals take surface streets or the train.
