Well, I didn't mention I was having some bad kidney stone issues yesterday, and especially last night. I started getting symptoms besides pain that warranted and ER visit. That was discouraging to say the least. Good thing I went though. The Cat scan revealed a stone in each kidney. The stone I felt was quite large. I started running a low grade fever, had nausea (don't know if it was the pain, or urine backing up), and then my blood pressure shot up. The urologist wanted to work on me right away, before I left the hospital. So I got stents for now, and meds. All of the blood work isn't back yet. He wanted to keep me another night, but I had to come home because of the dogs. He said he would let me go home on one condition, if I started running fever again, not to let it go. If it got above low grade (above 100.4), I had to promise to go straight back to the hospital, and I agreed. In the near future I will get the blasting job done. Boy do I dread it already. No sleep yet, but I am about to lay down. The dogs were out of their minds when i got home. It was sheer bedlam for a little while. They are content now, with me back home where I belong. :) I can't drive yet because I still have anesthesia effects. That is okay, I'm not feeling up to it anyway. So keep that in mind when I make my posts...LOL.

I liked The Who. I liked the Beatles and the Rolling Stones more though.

Well I've been up for a little while now. I just checked my temperature, and it is perfect! I don't like these stents at all. They irritate you and make you feel pressure, and you feel like you have "to go" all the time. Certain sitting positions are rough. TMI, I know. My throat is dry as cotton from that tube, and it is hard to swallow and eat. Took a little apple cider vinegar with honey, and that did help soothe the throat. I just took a Slippery Elm throat lozenge, and that helped too. I haven't taken the pain med yet. It is a very lightweight painkiller, so I don't think I have too much faith it will do much good. I will see after a while how it does. My back is not hurting at all. It could be that the stents are taking precedence in that area, minimizing the back. I will take that other pill too, I just haven't made out a schedule. I started glancing over the paperwork. Before this I wasn't clear enough to make too much sense out of it. I am just glad I went and got this tended to. I almost waited until today. If the blood pressure hadn't zoomed up, I would've done just that. I see the thousands of dollars of charges, and I balk like an old mule. But I know the warning signs weren't in my favor. So I did the right thing. Before they told me I had the stones, I thought I shouldn't have come, I feel much better. I am just gonna take it easy around here, I don't have a choice.

That’s good news! It’s good you know your body well enough to know when to git going to the doctor! I get stubborn like that too. Angry too, because when you need care and have to worry about thousands of dollars... just GRRRRR. But it is what it is. Your fur babies will comfort you while you rest! :)

Evening....I went in at 10:00 this morning. They sent another truck to my area to help get it cleaned up. They've been loading me with so much I can't get to the places that close at 3:00. Anyway the driver they sent out had never been out in my area. He got completely lost. ( I don't know how but it's happened before.) So the part that needed done is still there. The part I had is done and it wasn't to bad so It'll have to do. Ah well tomorrow is Friday..

You don't like the Beatles or the Rolling Stones? I didn't like everything they put out, but certain songs I did love. My parents never played that type of music, EVER. So I had to depend on the radio, 8-tracks, records and word of mouth. I loved almost all the rock type groups. FranC I liked that song you posted when I first heard it. I did prefer Back In Black, TNT, For Those About To Rock, Thunderstuck and You Shook Me All Night Long.

I used to know every big group, and most of the lesser known, what albums the songs came from etc... I would've been a great radio disc jockey! Now I couldn't remember all of that stuff to save my life. Music was my life when I was young. I even slept with music on. Now I don't keep up with the new stuff, so there ya go...AGE. But I still like music that never goes out of style, according to ME.

A lot of the British Invasion era music just wasn’t my cup of tea. It was jangly and harsh to my ears. Elvis was King in my childhood house! Also lots of country western. I did love Motown the best though. Soul and blues. Bonnie Raitt!!!

Another thing we have in common: my dream job would have been as a DJ! I got to DJ one time at a Junior High dance. Hauled my stereo to school and they hooked it up into the sound system. Brought a big stack of my albums and 45’s! It was heaven! Second only to the time my band got to play at a dance. We rocked out Sweet Home Alabama for almost half an hour. I was lead singer for that one! Everyone dancing and singing along! Good times.

I bought one album per week with my allowance then read the entire liner notes while I listened. It got to where I even recognized session musicians’ names. Now? I know no one. Age? Sorta. But music sure ain’t what it used to be. Hmmm... maybe that’s age too.

LA, everyone has their favorite music talents. I used to love almost all of it, and I would turn the music up every time a favorite came up, which was often. I loved to dance back then, and the louder the music the better I liked it. It is probably a good thing I had kids, because I settled right down once I had them in my early thirties. (mostly)

My kids both enjoyed my music, and they would surprise people by their knowledge of "classic rock". I even got my ex into Janis Joplin! HAHA. You'd have to know him to see what an accomplishment that was. I did like soft rock, folk rock, pop, jazz, blues...but mostly was not a country fan. That shocked people since I was from Texas. Now I can deal with some of it, and some I cannot. I did love rock with country influence though.
