finally running out of my home made juice.... looks like its time to order up some real juice... is the PB still doing good, or has it reverted to something else?

Haven't ordered PB in a while. But let me know if you need the VIP discount code.

whatcha need is an ice chest full of water n ice... do the freeze challenge ;)

I was using a metal bowl with water and ice. You know the hands are in serious pain to tolerate that. Cold actually gives relief.

ummm, in the pump? medicine wise or material wise?

5FU - chemo is in the pump. It delivers its poison over a 48 hour period. I go in tomorrow morning to disconnect.

I'm a little confused. You said blood counts were down and will probably get shots next week. But it was high enough to do chemo yesterday? And you do not know definitively if you'll get a CEA reading? What number are you realistically hoping for?

They weren't too low to put off chemo but if I didn't get the shots, it would drop even more and next session would have to be delayed.

I wonder what is in those blood count boost shots? Is it a drug that helps propagate blood cells or is it actually blood cells?

A drug that will help propagate blood cells.

CEA = 107.8. :cry:

That blows. No? That needs to be lower. When was the last time you had your CEA measured? Have you missed some sessions with all these vacations you've been on?

Last time was 2 weeks ago. The mutation that I have is typical to become resistant to chemo. I'm looking into HIPEC. Sending my records to a doctor in Michigan that my daughter in law (nurse practioner that works for a Gastroenterologist) highly recommends. Going to see if I'm a candidate. I think that will be my only hope.

Robin, why don't you get a couple of those small therapy pillows I mentioned recently? You can freeze them, and they should stay fold for quite a while.
Get one and try it first. If you like it get one or two more.

I was thinking about that. I will look them up. :)

I was thinking another set of eyes on this would be wise. You're on top of it.
