New Orleans La.
Friday Evening. Tired, cleaned up, fed. 40 years ago it would have been PARTY TIME !
Now I just try to decide between TV or sleep. Sleep might win ....
If getting old is this exciting, I don't know if I will keep up in my '60's (age, not decade).

used to be a time when I would hold open doors and such for ladies and older folks.... lately it seems people are holding doors open for me now.... I think Ive become "officially old"... ( or people are becoming more polite now-a-days (( which I doubt for some reason)) ) o_O

... And when you say "Thank You, sir" you notice the young man holding the door is younger than your children. That makes me feel older.

And the bagger at the checkout says “You need some help getting this to your car?” They say it sweetly. Somehow that makes it worse. I ain’t that old yet, pup!

I'm doing ok. Not great but definitely ok. I've managed to stay out of the ER for two nights now and have only two more before the big day.

Hubby is flying back here on Saturday and I've missed him so much this last week or so. He surely is my rock.

My sleeping pattern sucks big time and I wake frequently. I'm up for about a half hour to an hour then manage to sleep for another couple of hours. This goes on all night. I have pain from the pressure of the fluid that the cancer is putting out in my belly. A couple of Tylenol takes care of it but only lasts about 4 hours.

I look preggers again. They have drained it a few times, each hospital stay. It comes back rather quickly though. First time they got 1.8 liters, second time 1.3 and this last time 1.4. I'm so looking forward to not having that fluid anymore.

Three more days....

Sleeplessness is rough. Sorry you’re not resting well and in pain. Sleep would make the wait pass more quickly! I’m grateful that Rick will be able to update us! You are so thoughtful. We’ll all be waiting to hear.

Not much going on here, but rain. North Central and Northeast Texas has quite a few counties under a flash flood watch. I can't say this is a surprise by any means. As usual we go to severe drought to flash flood watches these days. I'm going to be staying at home. The rain just moved that cat to sleep on my front porch. That is the worst place he could go. It makes it difficult taking my big dog out to relieve herself, when he is right there.

I'm here. Still staying out of the hospital ER. Tomorrow morning we drive to Flint. I want to be there before starting the bowel prep. We are staying at the Hospitality House which is right across from the hospital. I have to be at the hospital at 5:30 Monday morning.

Rick is here now and boy have I missed him!!

Rick can stay at the Hospitality House for as long as I'm in the hospital. They require a $35.00 a day donation. That's it! The rooms look as nice as a hotel room and they are private too.

I took a nice long nap today. I got up and fed my big dog. The little one wasn't hungry yet. Afterwards we always go outside. I decided to peek first, and see if that dang cat was out there, sure enough he was. So I got a broom and moved him. Then I got my big dog, and we went out the door. There is the cat, in the same spot. He came right back to it. My dog was barking furiously at the idiot cat. So I decide to step over the landscape timbers, and take her to the side of the yard instead. That turned out to be a very poor idea. As I was stepping over, the big dog lunged at the cat, and I slipped and fell. Almost all of my weight went down on my right shin bone, right on top of the hard landscape timber. I'm lucky it didn't break. I don't know how close it was before my dog got the cat, but the cat did run away. (probably 6-10" or so) I slipped because it is so wet and muddy out there. I had mud all over my legs, and I was boiling mad. So I had to come in and wash off, and apply something to my leg. It already looks like I was in a car wreck there. There is a huge goose egg, and the rest is red and also swollen. The crazy thing is, I held on to the leash with all I had. I never let go. Maybe that cat will sleep somewhere besides my front porch. Better yet, he should consider finding a new place to hang out altogether.

Yes it was an ordeal, and a painful one at that. Luckily I have some things I am treating the area with. I have Dit Da Jow, and some essential oil too. Without that, it would be worse for sure. Even with what I have the whole area aches fairly bad.

Later that cat went back to the same spot. I could not believe it. So I got the broom and went after him again. I took the small dog out first, and then put her in the house. The cat knew the big dog was next, and thankfully he didn't hang around for that.

The swelling has gone down quite a bit, but the pain is still there. It aches, but the medicine has helped a lot. I was very lucky it wasn't worse.
