Yes, that is my little angel. I need to take some more photos. Her winter coat is starting to get thicker now. There is a huge difference between her summer coat, and her winter one! She is much happier in the recent weather temperatures. Not too cold, certainly not too hot. She turned 16 months old today!

Thanks kkay59, is that your dog in your avatar? :)

Any Stone Temple Pilots fans out there? I heard Scott Weiland died in his sleep. I used to like them back in the day. How sad, he was only 48 years old.
I had heard he croaked on the tour bus. Story could have changed 10 times. I know he was a drug addict. Have to believe that contributed to his untimely death.

I heard he had been clean & sober for 13 years, but who knows ? Jim Fixx, the grandfather of Jogging, died of a heart attack at age 52. Actor/ comedian George Burns lived to 98, and contributed his longevity to drinking a glass of whiskey and smoking one cigar every day.
I don't care when I go. I just hope I turn off like a light switch. Preferably in my sleep.

Me too. Be dead before I hit the ground or never wake up.

Not that we get a say in it, but I'd like it to be drawn out a bit. Maybe a week or so. I want everyone to have a chance to say goodbye to me, whisper secrets in my ear while I'm in a comatose state or something dramatic like that. I'd like my girls to hold my hands when I leave this world. To be surrounded in love. I'd hate to just drop dead in the living room and have someone have to find me and get all freaked out.

If we could choose the way...
I think of those we have lost. I have to say, Frank was so spiritual and was so at peace. I can only hope that when my time comes, I can emulate him.
He had siblings, fathers, etc that all died young. I remember before he got sick he said he knew he was going young too. He was right. I think he was sorta of preparing for awhile. He sure was an inspiration though. I'll bet his kids miss him and his goofy sense of humor. A lot of times you don't appreciate it until its gone.

AND I'd like some serious grieving, crying, maybe even hysteria but just for a week or so. Then everyone should get busy living their lives.
This is what people need to remind themselves of as they go through the grieving process. The one they lost would want them to move on and have a happy life. Most of them anyway. My buddy's mom died a few years ago and while on her death bed asked his dad not to remarry. I thought that was pretty selfish. He did remarry (did not know this woman existed at the time his wife died). And within a year after she died. He's happy as can be (but looks on his past marriage quite favorably).

My moms a hoot. We had so much fun together on that trip (and yes, we made more plans for when her husband dies and when she dies). However, my mom doesn't socialize much outside the family. I was talking to everyone about anything (it was a long trip!). I exchanged addresses with one of the other ladies, Hattie, 83. She just sent me a nice Christmas card with a cheesecake recipe in it. When I left the bus they were all hugging me and saying goodbye, mom teased me about having a fan club. Of course I had to call her and rub it in that I got a nice letter and recipe from Hattie.
