So I had a miserable day at work. Drizzling rain, day three of a sore throat and my left ear feeling plugged and hurting. After work I went to Urgent Care. I do have a little bit of a cold. But the main problem is an infection in the left ear. That's draining and causing my sore throat. So an antibiotic with penicillin for 10 days and Mucinex for 7 to 10 days. and toss in 600mil of ibuprofen. Knew it was more than just a average cold.

Even worse when it’s raining. Feel better soon! Does the infection in your ear mean you can’t use your hearing aid in that ear?

We used to have somethin' like that in England - whatever was left over from Sunday lunch or any other day's dinner, taters, meat, cabbage, whatever, chuck it in a frying pan with some liquid and fat, and voila! "Bubble n Squeak" Of course, we true Brits believe there int nuthin' in this world that doesn't taste better when it's fried....mars bars, battered sausages, cabbage, taters, boiled eggs wrapped in sausage meat, covered with breadcrumbs ...and fried......

Boiled eggs wrapped in sausage meat... would that be the Scotch egg? Never heard of them before watching Master Chef UK.

Also since watching that show I have a new phrase to describe extreme disappointment: “I am absoLUTEly GUTTED!!!”

The tornado watch is over for me thank goodness. At one point the rain was coming down so hard that it filled up my clay bowl gauge within an hour. That is a full days worth of very good rain. So there is some flooding going on, but I'm not sure how bad. A friend of mine told me the river was over the banks. There is a flood warning until the 5th or 6th, I can't remember which now. I was bailing water for a good while. It is still raining, but not too hard right now. I am going to stay up just in case, until the storm passes completely.

Not too many kids were out this evening. A group of older teens were roaming out in the street. Later I heard some loud stuff, and I thought a tree was coming down in the flooded creek. Two loud cracks, and then quiet. Right after that I heard more. Come to find out it was my "favorite" neighbor teen who decided this was a good time to blow some type of firework. It wasn't a firecracker. I went out with a flashlight to see what was going on. Then I smelled the gun powder or whatever it was that he decided to cut loose with. My dogs were barking their heads practically off. I am ready for November 1st to arrive quickly!

Here’s hoping the worst has passed and you can get some rest. We heard “fireworks” last week on Nevada Day that sure sounded like gunfire. I didn’t go outside to sniff though.

I just saw video of flooding in Venice. It showed a restaurant with water up to everyone’s mid-shins. Servers slogging through the water to deliver pizzas to customers, some people were wearing thick galoshes that came up over their knees. Sitting at tables like nothing is happening! How can that be sanitary? That water was murky & brown! Crazy.

LA, when I went out there with my flashlight, I thought I was going to see a tree or more knocking my fence down. I didn't realize until I was out there that it was something else altogether. There is no telling what that teen did, but I think it is possible he was up to no good. It wasn't a regular firecracker, it was much too loud for that. It wasn't a shotgun. Other than that I could only make a guess. His parents need to reign him in without a doubt, but that isn't likely to happen. I am sure he heard my dogs barking, but didn't care. It stopped after I went out and used my bright light, so he knows if he did it again the cops would probably get called.

Well I think the bad weather has passed me now. More could come, but I don't think so. I will stay up a little longer. I'm going to finish the movie I am watching first. I know a fair amount of people lost power, and there were downed trees and a couple of tornadoes. The tornadoes weren't by me though. I did read that a steeple off of a church was knocked off and fell on the ground. I did not read that anyone was standing close by. I am sure it would be big enough to flatten you if you were!

They are, and they're absolLUTELy BRILLiant LOL - yes, I've heard one that one several times, but not always under the best of circumstances

November at last! Usually I love October, but not this year. I'm moving slow this morning. It is dark and dreary outside right now. Chilly with wind too. The dogs are playing this morning. They enjoy the cool weather. I finished the movie last night. It was a futuristic movie with droids. Danny Trejo was the lead villain. The time setting was 2045 if I remember right.

Happy Thursday. Hope everyone had a nice Halloween. I worked. It’s been so busy at work I find myself wondering why I keep doing that to myself.

I’m having some wicking struggles lately with my kanthal coils. Can’t seem to get the correct amount in without it tasting burnt. I’m getting really annoyed actually. I thought I had this vaping stuff down and the last month I feel like a beginner again. Not sure what that’s all about.

I’m having some wicking struggles lately with my kanthal coils. Can’t seem to get the correct amount in without it tasting burnt. I’m getting really annoyed actually. I thought I had this vaping stuff down and the last month I feel like a beginner again. Not sure what that’s all about.

That’s happened to me from time to time. No idea why. The more I focused on getting the wick right the worse it got. You’ll be fine!
