I see kids as chaos but not crazy chaos, the fun kind.
Me too. Their drama is hilarious. Especially girls. They have no control of their emotions (generalizing)

But if you have a bunch of kids then I can see where it is overwhelming. There is a limit.

Got the truck picked and back from the store.. Think I'll stay in the rest of the day. I'm still tired anyway...

Speaking of beer. (which we do here frequently:p) I tried a couple bottles if this last week and liked it. Christmas Ale So got a six pack today. About as close as I'm going to get to the holiday spirit. Or maybe it's the only way I'll get in the holiday spirit..:p

Dang! I can’t get Bell’s in Nevada. When we went to SoCal, I confess I had to stop at BevMo to try to grab some Bell’s Kalamazoo Stout. Love the stuff. Sadly, they had none at the store I went to. I don’t like it enough to drive through LA traffic to find a store that had it. I would definitely have grabbed some of this Christmas Ale had I known what the flavors were. I saw it. Passed it by on principle. Commercialized Christmas products drive me nuts. My loss this time.

I did grab some of this by Rogue and I really like it. The hazelnut is very subtle. It’s a warm, nutty brown ale.

Just lol!! I have no trouble spending, thats for sure!:lol::lol:

French press came this morning, after coffee time so I tried it out. Pretty good. @LAwaters thanks for the tips (screen shot on my Mac!) , I will try them tomorrow for sure. I can pick up a cuisinart at Costco next week if I can't deal with the 10 minute wait, but I think I can..:)

Patience is a virtue with a payoff here! I’m so happy it arrived early so you could tinker for your Saturday morning cuppa. But do what you gotta do to survive The Return of The Offspring For The Holidays. ;)

With boys you kinda figure out they need to screw up on their own. So you let them. They tend to take ownership of their screw ups and their egos wont allow them to share their emotions with others. Girls screw up and then go into a tizzy. They let the world know how they feel. Cracks me up!

I can't stand beer, and I think ale is similar. I'm not a fan of gin or dry white wine either. I'm pretty much good with anything else, but it is very rare for me to drink these days. I used to love mixed drinks. I have a little homemade wine tucked back for the proper time. My mom and brother don't like it, it is too sweet they say. My mother liked Rhine wine back in the day, and I truly hated the stuff. Everyone has their own favorites, so it is good there are a wide variety of choices. I do like bourbon or rum quite a bit, especially Caribbean rum.

How about shots of tequila.

Sure. I'd rather have a margarita on the rocks though. Alabama Slammers are quite potent if you like shots. I had some in Mobile and loved them. I was drinking Jack and Coke, and had the slammers too. I must warn you they will slip up on you though.

Papaw might be busy with snow preparation. I hear NC is going to get hammered with major snow.

Well I think the rain danger is over for me now. It is still misting or light rain, but nothing to worry about. I am so relieved. I said plenty of prayers that is for sure.

Hahaha...

We are likely getting far less snow than originally called for in my area, but we are getting snow and ice both so fingers crossed we don't end up with too much of the ice stuff..

We are in a state of emergency here though, jic I guess..

You all have me wanting to try my coffee press. You know I got it because it doesn't require electricity to concoct a cup, just need a small propane stove to heat the water, and figured it's a great wintertime, might not have electricity idea.

But you all make it sound like the new heaven.. lol..

So. . I MAY just try it out this morning.. just have to remember where I put it! Lol..
