He won't be using nic salts. He's as hooked on HHV liquids as I was, so that makes it easy.

In fact, Fresh Grindz is all he's vaping at the moment. Having the world's cleanest burning juice should be great for these pods. Even if they only last a couple of weeks, the cost is the equivalent of 1/2 pack of cigarettes every two weeks. Not bad at all.
Hope it pans out for your boy, Pap. I know you're pulling for him big time.

Pop Quiz:

When is it a good time for your hot water heater to blow a leak?

You guessed it! Never!

And yet it happens. Ours is off the balcony in a little room. We check in there periodically, but this happened yesterday or this morning. Neighbors alerted us because they had water dripping onto their balcony below ours. Ugh.

It’s being replaced tomorrow morning. No hot water tonight. It’s only $1,400 installed.

Anyone need to hire a marketing designer? Web developer? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

WHAAAaaaT? 1400$? you need to become a plumber instead of a web developer... ;) does that price include the 1000$ water heater?? is it gas or electric? probably going to take 3-4 hrs since its upstairs... but still 100$ an hour is expensive.

Multiple quotes might be wise. $14 seems a bit high. Thinking more like 10 - 12.

You’re right on all counts I think!

I really was mystified about the popularity of pods. I understand the convenience for sure. But it goes to why I continue to vape I guess. I enjoy more than just the effects of nicotine. When I started vaping the only thing missing was the qualities of smoke - density and warmth. My mod & tank setup is close. I thought a pod would just feel “thin” like cigalikes did. Surprisingly it’s pretty good. :)

wellll... 5 more days to go, and with that I have my Christmas thoughts to share...

this is an annual thing so some of you may have seen this...

Santa.... and Satan...

they both use the same letters to spell their name...
They both prefer the color red
They both employ short pointy eared helpers
They both have cloven hoofed animals around
They both live in places that are inhospitable for human habitation
They both give you something for something in return...

makes you wonder huh??? ;)

hmmm 40 gal 40KBTU 9 yr tank 506$... avg remove/install price for a 2nd floor 400$ ( 100/hr) for a total of 900$ ... and thats for a gas heater... the hardest part is draining the tank.

The price is for the water heater and install, removal and all that. According to Yelp reviews, this company is well priced and does great work. When I called, the guy couldn’t get anyone out same day. He gave me the name of a bigger company because they’d be able to do same day. That’s decency at least.

Believe me, I thought about being a plumber or some similar trade more than once. Wonder if they’d accept an old broad at trade school? :)

We had a different plumber 2 years ago tell us that the water heater would need replacement soon due to its age. It’s an ‘04 model. He quoted around $1800 if I remember correctly.

I almost sent out an SOS to you! The darn thing was knocking at 3 am and you’re East Coast so I thought you might be awake. I had turned off the water intake to the water heater per the installer company guy’s instructions. That was to stop the leaking. Turns out I should have also put it on pilot mode. Doing that stopped the knocking and its attempt to heat the water.

Just 2.5 hrs till they get here to fix it!

They're going to upcharge the heater.

It’s 50 gallon 50KBTU. It will also be hard getting the tank out of here and down the stairs. :)

how many bathrooms does your place have??? 50 gal is overkill for even a 2 full bath residence...
