Terrible storms here. Thin line of very severe weather. I called my daughter and told her to stay away from the windows. She said it started about two minutes before I called. She said the power was blinking already. I told her the worst part hasn't gotten to her yet. High winds, hail, and who knows what else. It could be just about anything now.

I’m praying they pass quickly. Hang in there!

It’s the weekend! We have hazy but clear-ish skies. I woke up to the roaring of a hot air balloon stuck low over our pool area and another stuck nearby. Looked like the updraft quit on them. They managed to pulse the flames enough to wiggle on over to the large clearing across the street. It’s a long walk back to the launch site. ;)

Actually, a pro crew would have a ground team to pick them up. They must have gotten a late start this morning. Updraft is best in the early morning.

Please tell me what state you live in, 'cause I am never coming. You all seem to have the worst, best of luck.

CMD, I am in TX. Thankfully the storm passed. There is more coming up, but I think it is going east of here.
LA, thank you for the prayers. I was praying too! I have a friend who is an electrician who got called out. I saw several tornado warnings and watches. It was just a few days ago when Alabama and Georgia got those tornadoes. The ground has been so wet here it is crazy. I have seen people talk about all of this moisture in the US potentially causing earthquakes. Another series of storms starts on the 12th, and it is most likely going to be bad. It is one that will once again go across several states.

Did the Sourin arrive today too?

Yes. I already ordered another 3 plus additional pods!:D:vapor:

Lori, check out MyVaporStore (an ECF supplier) for all your hardware needs. I use them, and they seem to be pretty comprehensive in their inventory!

Oh, cool! Thanks for the store tip. Which other pods did you order? So you’ve tried Wismec and Sourin. Notice either as being better than another?

I’m having almost as much fun over your new gear as you are. :)

Well had breakfast and went to Kroger. Been using a PUR faucet filters for years. Found this at Goodwill for $4.00. It has bother filter unopened and I can tell it's never been used.:thumb: https://www.amazon.com/PUR-Faucet-M...rd_r=DB65JC2FGK3NWJH2531W&qid=1552160705&s=hi
Been getting more feedback from my AIDS than I like so went to Costco to make an appointment and the battery door on one won't latch. It has to be sent in to be fixed. So both are going back to be checked and I'll be using my old ones. I was planning on buying a TV while I was there but after looking I feel that I need to think about this some more. There are a number of ways I can upgrade just have to figure out which way I want to go and stay in the range I want to pay.

It is crazy. Calif has had A LOT of rain. Sink holes are opening up -- including in the back yard of the friend we lived with there. It wouldn't be surprising at all for earthquakes to be related to saturated ground. I'll keep praying with that new storm coming. Good grief!

Nice find! I'd love to be able to install a purifying system throughout our place. The water here is horrendous. It's killer on the pipes, the fixtures and on your skin. I thought you bought a new TV recently. I must have remembered wrong. Good hunting! If anyone can bag a good deal, it's you. :)

Yes, poor California. They have indeed been bombarded. The places that continue to get mega rain are at risk, from what I understand. The pacific northwest, and just about the entire eastern side of the US has gotten a lot of rain. Some places get rain over and over again. I have been keeping an eye on projections, because the local forecasters don't really tell you much and they wait until just about the last minute to warn you of what is coming.

Water in rural Kentucky is rather poor. We have filters, an R/O setup for drinking, a huge carbon filter with a softener. It was a big expense but with water going all over every inch of the old body and then also ingested, our analysis made the decision easy.

Indeed. If the $$$ was in the bank, the decision would be easy. It's on the list! The water heater replacement wasn't on the list and bumped anything else way way down. :)

Nice! I just bought 5 replacement pods for my Innokin EQ from MVS. They are running a 10 year anniversary special right now, so I saved 10% on the order. Thanks again, Eleanor!

@Pappy, if you are still looking for a supplier for replacement pods, MVS is a good option right now. I checked and they still have some after I bought 5 of them. :)

We'll be curious to know what you end up buying!

Then you can pick up a run in the SW and drop off that old Panasonic at my house. I'll provide the homemade pizza and beer. Any standard pizza toppings you want.

CMD-KY I am hearing more about the New Madrid fault/seismic zone
Next-Big-One_photo_medium.jpg

I hope you don't live anywhere near it. NEW MADRID FAULT BEWARE That is
where I got the map above.
I think an extended vacation would be good, if people could afford it. Here is a monitoring
chart in case you are interested.
Station IU WCI
I don't know anyone in the Pacific NW, or I'd post on that too.
