Between the two of us we could bore the others here to distraction. BUT, we would enjoy it.

Totally agree. The show kept improving. I look back at that first season and wonder how it survived because it really was stupid. Maybe just enough laughs to keep it going until the bench players revived it. Potter was an improvement over Blake and Winchester was an improvement over Burns (big time). Blake and Burns were just too unrealistic. Potter and Winchester allowed the show to be more serious. BJ replacing Trapper was kind of a wash. Both did well I thought. The timing was also good for Radar to leave. Klinger did a nice job filling in. And I also enjoyed how Houlihan evolved over time. My least favorite episode was the one where Hawk n Houlihan were getting all lovey dovie. Made my skin crawl. Wish they never did that episode (actually it was two episodes I think). My favorite (tough choice) was the one where Winchester was playing his French horn to the point where Hawk n BJ retaliated by not showering. Another one was when Houlihan had the prickly heat .... rash. Potter was hilarious! One of the better serious ones was Winchester encouraging that kid to play piano one-handed. Geez, I could go on and on.

I'm really enjoying "The Last Alaskans" -- I actually ponied up the money to buy S1 on Amazon. It's incredibly well done. There's something peaceful about the people too. They speak more slowly and thoughtfully than most of us do. Intriguing how Ray Lewis said that when he returns to their cabin, he has a "buzzing" in his ears for the first few weeks. Then it goes away and all his senses are heightened. Fascinating show all around. Thanks for talking it up @Bronze.

You must be on Season 2. I enjoy watching the skills Ray taught his girls. No matter what they choose to do with their lives those girls will be successful due to their upbringing. Has Bob Harte captured your heart yet? Took a few episodes but that show owns me now. As you say, so peaceful and you get hooked on their passion and dedication to each other. Season 4 just ended. I’m hopelessly addicted. Season three and four really tug on your heart strings. Keep some tissue around if you’re a crier. :)

I saw some spoilers about Bob and the crying preparation. I’m on Season 1. So far it’s all I bought. Bob broke my heart in episode 1! When he speaks of losing his family, it’s almost too painful to endure. Heimo and Edna visiting the river in memory of their daughter was poingnant too. Ray’s comment about the ear buzzing was in episode 1 or 2. The cinematography is gorgeously done. I don’t even have HD and I feel like I’m there.

I wish it was true that every child with a good upbringing turned out well. Sadly it’s not so simple. Being remote from civilization and all the cultural conditioning helps a lot though, I’m sure.

There is something enduring about learning survival skills that you take with you through the rest of your life.

When I go wilderness fishing in Canada it takes a few days for the city hum to go away. By the end of the week my only worry in life is deciding which lure to tie on next. It’s a good place to be. The best.

Heimo is cool. :)

Well, I'm like a kid in a candy shop tonight!

Inspired by you, Lori, and your experiment with the pod set-up HHV had on sale, I ordered a few different ones myself, along with a couple of nic salts to try in one of them. (The salts haven't arrived yet.)

So tonight, in addition to my regular isticks w/HHV juices, I'm vaping and loving two different juices at cooler temps in two different Wismec pod devices. Yum!!!

A Suorin Air and 2 nic salts should be here by Saturday. I'd forgotten how much fun new vape toys are! :)

@Hulamoon What is going on with your state right now? SCR42! If you don't know about it, look at it. Three words, SHALL NOT INFRINGE. I think some of these politicians are trying to stir a hornet's nest. When they do that, you wonder what else is going on that we don't know about yet.

SCR42 | Hawaii 2019 | Right to Bear Arms; Second Amendment; United States Constitution; United States Congress | TrackBill
We have a bunch of very stupid ignorant little "lookee me's" in Hawaii desperately trying to look "relevant" to their pals in NY and CA just like that "judge' who has since pummeted back into obscurity. It isn't going anywhere without a major national fight. Ridiculous little flea irritants.

Good Morning Army, and Hello Friday ! A relatively easy day planned, if everything goes well I could be home by noon. Free Starz network this weekend, and Mamaw is going to visit her sister until Sunday so there will not be a Honey-Do list. I see Pizza somewhere in the next few days ...

Have a Safe and Blessed Day :)
