Mornin All...![]()
Evening..... My son is here from Texas. (flying home tomorrow) So after the Doctor visit I picked him up and we went to breakfast then a new car show that started today. After my sister got home from work we went to dinner at the Longhorn.. So no pizza for me tonight.. But there is beer.

Turned the soil for the first time in about four or five years. Too wet do actually work, but soft enough to chew up the topsoil and weeds. A few warm, breezy days should make the soil better for working.
I am planning half a garden, about 1000 sq. ft. or so. Four or five tomato, half dozen bell peppers, one row potatoes, couple summer squash, couple zucchini, a row of carrots and maybe three or four cucumber vines.
Mamaw tried container tomatoes last year and failed miserably. So I guess I will have to try to get these old bones working in dirt again. Love fresh vegetables, and used to really enjoy the hobby aspect of gardening (anybody who plants a vegetable garden to save money usually doesn't stay with it). But arthritis has a way of taking such pastimes away.
Afternoon....I'll explain later. Want to get to the store and I need a push broom...

Utter failure here too with container tomatoes.
Have Urlacher keep guard of that garden so the dang squirrels keep their filthy paws out of it.Turned the soil for the first time in about four or five years. Too wet do actually work, but soft enough to chew up the topsoil and weeds. A few warm, breezy days should make the soil better for working.

Nice! Low miles. Will last you a long time if you keep up with maintenance.Back from the store.. Cat litter stirred up. (I'll pick it up tomorrow) I'm putting a pizza in and calling it a day. So early this week the S10 started running rough and loosing power. It got worst as the week went on and I wasn't sure I'd make it home yesterday. Starting when it was cold sounded like it was going to blow up. Sister was telling me I better get a new one before it leaves me stranded. Well I had been looking at trucks this week because I had the feeling it was done for. So this morning I started it and came in to get my jacket and a couple bags to clean it out so I could take it to the dealer. It was pouring oil when I went back out. I think the front seal went out. It could likely be fixed but not by me. Luckily my sister and bil didn't have anything planed so they took me to the dealer ship and stayed till I picked a truck. Which didn't take long.
I had been looking at trucks and had two picked out at the same dealer. And had already checked my credit. The two trucks that met what I was looking for were a 2015 GMC Canyon ($25,425) with 29,340 miles and a lot of options. And a 2016 Silverado ($25,700) with 18,410 miles and a few options. Both were 6cyl rear wheel drive, (didn't want 4X4). Both were around $25000 with low mileage. I decided I rather have more room for a change then the options that in the end weren't that big of a deal. I'll miss my heated seat but I can get a heated cover if I want it that bad. These days all vehicles have pw windows and locks along with wireless connection. And it has a remote start which I'll like in the winter...
Yes a $475 per month payment is going to suck. But I put it off as long as I could.. I'm happy with it.![]()
