I completed one of my better jury rig jobs. Quite impressive I must say. Last year the deck umbrella blew off the deck two different times in wind storms. Two of the eight spokes snapped in two where they pivot and the pole/tube where they couple together got massively boogered up. Got some aluminum angle iron and put it around the busted spokes and bolted them on. Solved that problem. Chopped 1-1/2" off the tube to get a clean end and rigged some bolts in it to attach the bottom piece. It's solid again. Solved that problem. Then I added a grommet that fit in the center hole of the table where the umbrella pole fits thru. The amazing thing about that is the grommet I used. I ordered a grommet/seal for my fuel pump repair job last year. They sent me the wrong part. It was a grommet/seal for the gas tank, not the pump. So I just tossed it in the ole bone box figuring I'd never use it. Turns out I could not have designed a better part for that centerhole. It is 100% perfect and way better than the original grommet that came with the table. A gas tank grommet! Whatever works, I guess. :)

Looks like I picked a good day to watch the grandsons today. I will see them tomorrow too for a little while. They do wear me out, but they are really good babies. My daughter is in a hurry for them to crawl. I let her know I wouldn't push it. Once they crawl, they walk. Then they are into everything. I told her to enjoy things the way they are, crawling will come soon enough. The larger twin may be a lefty. He was showing signs of it, but that could change because he is still very young. The smaller twin seems to prefer using his right hand now. My daughter told me twins often are lefties. I had never heard of that before.

Have any of you looked into the Mandela Effect? I am especially thinking of the Tiananmen Square story. I distinctly remember that young man getting ran over by the tank.

Arizona
Well I’m back from Sedona and had an amazing time. Hiked 6 miles everyday, and ate well every night :) It was so nice to have my friends company for so long. Now I miss her terribly.

Still sorting out which surgery to have. I meet with one more doctor on Thursday and I need to decide by next Tues. most of the time I’m sure I’ll do the 3 lumpectomies with radiation. But then I’ll have a moment of doubt and swing the other way for the rest of the day. But I’m feeling like I’m becoming very educated and on the right path.

Hope everyone has been well and had great weekends.

What Is the Mandela Effect? 50 Examples That Will Blow Your Mind
Okay here are lots of examples. There are some that I do remember. They don't list any biblical examples, but there are at least a couple.

This morning is quite lovely, but we may get some rain later on today. I did find that tobasco plant this year. I have it in a pot. I just got one, because I am not sure how it will do in a pot on my porch. Hopefully I will get enough to make some tabasco pepper sauce with vinegar. If this one does good, I will have maybe 3 plants next year. I will try to save seed, if any peppers come out too.

Well I got to see my grandsons again today. Later on my daughter took me for a nice dinner. I had grilled salmon, and it was outstanding. I haven't had salmon in ages. The restaurant was a fish place, and they had all kinds of fish to choose from on the menu. The babies slept while we ate. Then we got back to their house, and we fed the boys. The twins can put away some food now, let me tell ya!

How perfectly wonderful! That’s a good daughter who takes her mama out for delicious salmon. Sounds like she really appreciates your help. She’s probably gaining a whole new appreciation for how hard it is to be a mom too. Therefore, she’s loving her mom even more. :)

Never enjoy salmon when I make it but enjoy it at a restaurant. Had a salmon dish at one place that marinated it in Texas Pete’s. Totally took a chance on it and it was awesome. I could never replicate it at home but sure was good at the restaurant. That’s generally true with all fish recipes. Those chefs find ways to make fish delicious.

Kids need something to trigger their appreciation for their moms, huh?
