Doctor says "You've got a nice case of Eczema going there !" Prescribed Clobetasol Propionate gel, twice a day. Cotton gloves and socks. The company sponsored Health Fair (insurance Inquisition) from last week actually does check Thyroid gland, and they are fine.
The doctor seemed really focused on other factors ;
1) Cholesterol. Started on Lipitor again.
2) Chest X-Ray. For ex-smokers, now available through insurance.
3) (Hula will love this one ....

The doctor seemed Very Concerned that I will be 60 years old next week and have never had a colonoscopy.
The Chest X-Ray is scheduled for 6/13, they are still working on the other one....

Brett I didn't remember you saying anything about itching. Here is something on eczema, that I found from the Mayo Clinic. I looked at photos online of it too for my own future reference. I make my own spray for severe itching caused from a plant that grows everywhere around here. (Virginia Creeper) Not everyone gets dermatitis from that plant, but some have poison ivy type symptoms with it. The ingredients aren't cheap, but it is better than any prescription I've used, and you can make several batches of it if needed. I keep it in the fridge, and it has been a life saver for me. In the long run the spray I use is much cheaper than the doc/prescription route. It also helps with bee stings or insect bites etc...

I love hearing these stories about their adventures! So sweet.
I will try to keep you up to date then. I love seeing how they interact with each other. They are always checking out how their twin reacts to something. I put them in the swing, and my daughter has to buy two of just about everything. One baby is always looking at the other to see if he is also enjoying the new thing. Then they chat about it in their baby language.

Also the smaller twin loves dogs, much more than his brother. My daughter has two beagles. Whenever one of the dogs walks by, which is usually the female, that baby always smiles and reaches out to pat her. I read recently that being a dog lover may have something to do with your genes. Whether that is true or not, I do not know.

I like this thing. I left it set up with hose in the transmission reservoir and the pump in the oil can. Go out, check the level, give it a pump or two, let it percolate.
What did you use to extend the discharge hose? Little baffled why it percolates so slow. Does it back up when you pump too many times?

I remember making such a comment when a certain lady mentioned her procedure on an earlier incarnation of the Big Thread. We all got quite a laugh. Well, maybe not you ....

home again... at least for a few hrs..

was digging around in the "black hole closet" ( you know, that place where things disappear into and are "never" seen again) welllll.... I found my old Caligraphy set and actually got excited about it...
went out and bought some new ink and stuff... ( Omygawd!! that stuff got expensive.... last time I bought supplies was 40 yrs ago) between the new inks and paper and a couple of new nibs, it was
almost 100$

IIRC, the original "set" I got had 3 pens ( holders) 6 nibs, 5 inks ( red, blue, gold, yellow, and black) it came with an instruction book and 100 sheets of Parchment paper for.... 21$...
today, just 2 bottles of "cali" ink is 20$.... o_O

lol... no wonder why people quit writing letters... cost ya more to write the letter than the postage to send it...

I meant to reply to this post, but forgot about it. Yes it is expensive, mainly because it is popular again. Several years ago, you could get old pens dirt cheap. Now they are wanting a good amount of money for a cheaper old pen. I have some old holders and nibs, but prefer to use a fountain pen.

Did you get your new items at Papier Plume? I have one of their inks. Their gray ink is very nice too, but I don't have that one. If I ever go to New Orleans, I am definitely going to stop in their shop.

Yes, it has backed up every time I have done this (3). It is nearly thre days before it all settles in. The manual says drive it forward and reverse several times. That has some effect. My problem with that is when I have drained eight quarts of fluid and replaced six I really don't want to be doing a whole lot of stressing of the transmission low on oil. So my refills are about a three day event.; it is not a real big deal but it is curious.
