Good Morning Army. 2016 has arrived. I can remember, as a child, older people saying something like "The World will last for Centuries, but Not for tens of Centuries."
And then there was the supposed "Y2K" meltdown.
None of which was true. Time is one of the real truths in Life. It cannot be voted upon, re-written, or regulated. Even Daylight Savings Time is merely a mirage, the days are still 24 hours long- just the clock changes to accommodate human activity.
And another year has come and gone. Goodbye 2015, Hello New Year.

So Army, now that most of us have conquered the smoking, any resolutions for this year?
My resolution for the past few years were to Not make any resolutions. This year I resolve to fight the regulations harder. I'm going to keep bugging my Reps in office.

Same resolution as last year - Loose weight & cholesterol.
But then again, I am the same weight as this time last year (200) and I have floated around 250 on my cholesterol for over a decade now.
Tree decorations are boxed. Tree is lying in the back of the pickup. Most of the exterior lighting is down and stored. Something like eight extension cords put away. Finish up the exterior stuff, and then it's time to box and store my "Christmas Village" decorations on the TV console. Maybe I should make fewer decorations my new resolution...

my new years resolution.... to try to get a 12 "hour" time schedule approved instead of the current 24 hour system...
reason... to get more done in an "hour" than before
also so I can drive 140 "mph" instead of 70 mph
and 3 hours of sleep would be about enuf...

Morning army, happy new year! Hope 2016 goes better all around for everyone. Our new year brought in tons of bitter cold weather, I think winter finally caught up with us.
My only resolution is to declutter my house and life. Feeling very weighed down by "stuff" in the house etc. And I'm over it. Also hoping we can save enough this year for a down payment on a new house, this one is not working anymore for our family as the kids grow.
