On the bank in front of this place there are many decades-old cactuses. The two 15 - 20 ft high paddle cactuses were horribly infested with mealy bugs. I found out recently what it was and this morning spent an hour and a half hosing off the colonies. Hoping that saves the cactus!

They look like this, but there were many, many more. The bugs produce a red liquid that’s rumored to be hallucinogenic. This was a filthy job with red rivers of water and scaly clusters flying everywhere.

What a mess!

You do excellent work! Both vehicles look amazing and their beauty is not just cosmetic. Well done!
Yep, substance over style, meal before dessert. It’s got to function first and foremost. But now that both vehicles are in top running condition, they’re worth prettying up. Who wants to be seen in a heap?

Lots of folks would make their vehicles look nice but neglect the needs of the machine. Your work makes me wish I could do the same for my Sequoia.

The task was ugly. Nurturing life takes icky work sometimes. And I dealt with multiple childrens’ diapers for over a dozen years. Ya gotta do what ya gotta do. :)

David, have you heard anything about a def fluid shortage? Idk if what I read is true or not but had DH stock up on it. His old work truck doesn't use it, but his newer truck does.

Just what I've been reading. Stocking up on it isn't a bad idea. I expect like everything else the price will will go up....

Sequoia is an excellent automobile! If you take care of it, it will run forever. It’s a large SUV built on the Tundra platform. It’s basically a pickup truck with an SUV body on it. The Tundra is recognized as the best pickup truck made. It translates well to a large SUV. Do you have a 6 or 8 cylinder in it? Guessing it’s the 6.

Its v8. She’s a silver 2002 Sequoia Limited with a lot of high end package stuff. Not the larger wheels though. But it does have a heavy duty hauling hitch because the original owner had a big boat. I bought it in ‘03.

Sunroof, leather interior, great sound system and a DVD player. LOL! Room for 8 travelers. I do love my truck.

The V8 is the better engine albeit a gas hog. It’s mandatory for the Tundra because it is used heavily for towing. The SUVs not so much and is why a V6 could work. Yep, you basically have a truck.

Full synthetic + filter every 5,000 miles and it will run forever. Change that tranny fluid every 50K too unless you never changed it and it has lots of miles. That could make it worse.

Hello Everyone. The big 63 today, having supper at my daughter's house tonight.
Might try a Squash Casserole recipe from Allrecipes.com. I am thinking off adding a couple of strips if bacon (crushed) and bacon grease to the recipe...
Everything goes better with bacon, right ?

Easy Squash Casserole
