I remember you were bummed when Heather got rid of that pie flavor you liked. I forget what it was called. Tsunami Pie or something…lol.

I suppose it would be nice to quit altogether but there isn’t anything to be gained constantly fretting over it either. I suspect some day all of us will grab our e-cig, look at it, and realize we don’t need it anymore. I know we’d be better off without them but the urgency isn’t near what it would be if they were cigarettes.

Is your girl in school yet or does she start up next month?

Oh my goodness....YESSS! It was Tiramisu. It was sooooo good!! I was devastated when she stopped making it. I remember when they told us that Gandalf was really Serendipity. And then they changed the name to Legend or something like that?

She is going into her Kindergarten year but we've already started because I am home educating her and she is reading already. I am not going to hold her back, she's super smart.

Gandygate. I’ll get thrown off this thread if I tell that story again.

Why did I somehow think you were homeschooling your child? May Uncle Bronze offer a suggestion? Dress her up for school. One, it will tell her it’s time to serious up. Two, mommy gets to dress her up in cute stuff every day. Dad would like that too. :) Don’t forget the Princess book bag or whatever the 5 year old girls are into these days.

Not easy to find flavors.

Evening... No it's not easy.. I have one so far. I've had the Maxx Vapor Berries (6mg) in the tank everyday this week and I'm not tired of it yet. It reminds of a mixed berry pie or tart filling. (no crust). It burns clean. Close enough to HHV to not matter. Looking online they have a melon flavor I may try. If I can find it. I'm looking to find at least two flavors. No luck finding flavor number two yet..

And no one can help you find a flavor you like. It’s so personal. You’re on your own. Add you might find another flavor but how long will it be around? I understand the pain it is. I went thru 1.5 years of grueling DIY before finding an EDV/ADV. But I do have peace of mind that I wont run out. That is a relief.

Ha! You know me too well! She absolutely has her cute little backpack and she dresses herself every morning. We spend a lot of our time outside of the house with other families, so we have to get dressed anyway. And she is very determined and serious about her work - I don't know where she gets it from :2cool:

Yep, even I would have fun doing that. Things a man ages into that would never have been considered before. We become softies eventually. These little ones have a way of doing that. I have new neighbors right next door. They have twins. A boy and a girl. Just turned 6. They couldn’t be more different. He can talk to anyone. She is a shy little thing. Both are cute as bug’s ears. I love watching them play outside. They’re a riot. Mommy homeschools too. She said the pandemic opened her eyes when her then 12 yo daughter had to do internet schooling.

You would be such a great educator. I may have to keep you on speed dial when we get into some history topics later on. I am so loving this journey with her. It's such a great, relaxed way of life. I look at it as also giving her a childhood. I want her to love learning and to be free to be a kid. We had already decided before the pandemic that we wanted this way of life but I know what your neighbor means. I have heard that many times from other parents.

A long time ago, when I was in grad school, I took a lifespan development class. We learned that men generally become softer emotionally as they age. Something to do with increased estrogen production as they get older - but I think that it also has to do with finding out what's really important in life. I noticed when my dad hit his 50's that he started to become really introspective and more emotionally vulnerable/available. He is now nearing his 70's and will cry at the drop of a hat. It's really wonderful actually. I feel like I know him so much better now.

Not sure about the estrogen stuff. Could be some of that. I’m no physiologist. And it would take a volume of books to describe all the other mental factors. That’s more your bailiwick. I think in a nutshell, our edges get worn down. We tire of the fight. Let the young bucks do the fighting. Leave us older guys alone. I have seen this softening more times than I can count. Fight, fight, fight then, to hell with it. “Oh gee, lookie here. I have a daughter. She’s grown up but she’s still my baby girl.”

Not sure if you even know, but I suspect there isn’t much your dad wouldn’t do if you wanted him to do it. He’s likely more of a pushover than you think. :)

Oh, I know about it. But I'll tell you what, nothing could have prepared me for how he would be as a grandfather. There is no one who compares to her in his eyes. He would do absolutely anything for her and it has gotten him into trouble several times :p

He’s owned! Hahaha! This is his reward in life.

Well Ms N. I’m gonna finish up the last couple innings of my White Sox game and call it a day. And you’re germ infested and should go to sleep.

Gee it was nice to see you drop in! Hope you know why you did now. :)
You know where I am and you know I love hearing from you. 10 years…ridiculous (maybe not quite that long). Would take a long time to catch up with that break. Very happy all is well with you except for being sick but that will pass. :)

Do you get email alerts?

Why yes, I still have your email address. Hark! Goes to show you how often I weed thru my contacts. And if I did I would only deep six nasty people so you're safe. :)

Here is the catio. If I had to have another cat he was gonna have to have his own room and leave me alone. He was an outdoor cat. He owned this neighborhood but he would never come home. Gone weeks at a time. I'd love to send him out the door every day but I'd never hear the end of it cuz he wouldn't come back. He's in this thing all day and night. He likes keeping tabs on the critters. Has a cat flap so he can come and go all he wants.

Ok, that catio is AMAZING! Do you have problems with other animals getting in there?
Well, the squirrels n birds n snakes n small rodents don't want to mess with a cat so they steer clear. The lizards are too stupid but they know how to read so I painted a warning on the thing and now they steer clear too. :)

 Love the sign! We used to leave our bonus cat's food outside on the back porch. Rookie move. She was sprayed by a skunk in the middle of the night. We don't do that anymore. She had a big yellow skunk spray stain on her chest for days. Poor thing.

Remember one of the first times I brought a cat to the vet (for some dumb thing) the vet said while shaking his head, “These kitties get into everything”. Yep, they sure do. They put their noses where they don’t belong.

Hope you’re feeling better. :)
