Evening... Pizza and beer time.. Got called in early.. They gave me a 14 stop load that was a mixed up mess. So I got screwed. I repaid them by taking 8 stops back to the yard.

I guess you can scratch a few people off your Xmas gift list.

What kind of suds you have on your menu tonight?

Remember one of the first times I brought a cat to the vet (for some dumb thing) the vet said while shaking his head, “These kitties get into everything”. Yep, they sure do. They put their noses where they don’t belong.

Hope you’re feeling better. :)

Well, I get it - she was trying to protect her food - but it was horrible. We've also had raccoons and opossums on the porch, but that skunk was the last straw.

Feeling better today, I think I'm on the mend!

They would never make a Xmas list if I had one...

We don’t live very far apart but I never see raccoons here. People say they’re here but I never see them. Not even road kill. I lived in the Chicago burbs for a lot of years and raccoons were everywhere. Leave your garage door open and 4 or 5 of them would take up residence for the night. Crafty critters!

We have seen almost every form of wildlife in our yard since we moved to the country. Bears, wild turkeys, blue heron, foxes, deer, muskrats, you name it. It's crazy.

Well, the squirrels n birds n snakes n small rodents don't want to mess with a cat so they steer clear. The lizards are too stupid but they know how to read so I painted a warning on the thing and now they steer clear too. :)

That’s hilarious! Lizards here keep crawling through the veggie cage I built. Had to extract 2 or 3 of them after they got stuck and crossed the rainbow bridge. An icky and sad task. I wonder if SoCal lizards can read…

That does look tasty! You earned your suds today. I tried a golden ale made by Kona that’s pretty darn good, especially at the end of a hot summer day. I may have to crack one open and raise the bottle to the north and east toward you. Cheers! :toast:

Hi there @Calico1964! We haven’t “met” yet, but it’s always a joy to see “old” friends come back. :)

That's a good thing with the way inflation is these days. I can get you recipes if you need them.

I don't see why not.

Excuse my (lack of) manners. Cali was around in the early days of this thread (as you have gathered)...back when we had 4 & 500 post days. It was ridiculous! She was like the rest of us in our days of trying to find good flavors. We all discovered HHV at the same time so that was always the topic of the day. Of course we always got derailed and went off on all sorts of goofy adventures. Hula would remember Cali well. Anyway, Cali was a lot of fun. She's a sweet girl, smart as a whip. You and her have music in common. She played in a crappy chick metal band. Not my description of their talent, but hers! She just wanted to have some fun. Anyhow, lots has changed since she was first here. It's great to see her again!

I think a root canal is mandatory with an implant, no?

I guess it does since they remove the root. And replace it with a screw. But if your going to remove the root you may as well replace the whole tooth..

A crowned tooth doesn't always need a root canal.
A root canal removes the nerve from the tooth, not the root.
An implant replaces a lost or extracted tooth. It has a titanium screw that is placed in the bone, then a crown is permanently attached to the implant.
Implants can also be set to retain a full denture. My mom has this on the lower. It isn't removable by her, and she still comes in to let me clean it regularly.

Clear as mud?

Granddaughter any day now.. She's having pains, but nothing regular yet. Induction is set to start Wednesday evening, so by Thursday I'll be a Bibi!

Afternoon... It took me 6 hours to get shopping done. I was going to 5 stores which should have got me home around Noon. Nope I had to make a detour to an AT&T store and that one took some time to complete. I noticed the back of my phone was coming off. It's not removable. The only cause for that would be the battery swelling. Which makes it a fire hazard. AT&T store was close so I spent more time there than the rest of the stores. But I have a new Samsung Galaxy S22+. The phone was $1000. They gave me $800 for my old fire hazard phone. So with the insurance I added my bill will go up about $25. I'll cancel the insurance in a few months or so. It worked out. Now I have to get it setup the way I want it and expedite a case and screen protector..

I also found out I can now get AT&T fiber internet. That will be setup in 2 weeks. Gives me time to think about it. My current internet has been trash since our area was sold off. The cost is the same with a bit more speed. Guess I'll find out in 2 weeks..
