Forgive me if I haven't been around awhile. Getting old isn't for the weak....
This past May I developed a middle ear condition known as Ménière's disease. Nasty stuff that messes with your Vertigo. Light head and dizzy spells are not fun. Nausea and loss of balance are less fun. At it's worst, my world can suddenly turn sideways ( didn't drive myself for most of th summer). And then the absolute worst is horrible. Remember when you were in High School or College and drank too much ? The vomiting, room spinning, feeling horrible, lying on the floor next to the toilet wishing it would stop ? Try that without the alcohol or euphoria.
About the time I got that under control (there is no cure), Mamaw's eight month fight with Stage 4 Lung Cancer took a turn for the worst. We lost her on October 17th. And the family reacted poorly, so I responded badly. Lawyers were involved. Doubtful I'll be on any Christmas lists this year, but my home is still mine.
38 years is a long time. My radio attacks me about every twenty minutes or so, and I catch myself still talking to her. But, Hey. I cooked my own Turkey for Thanksgiving ! Being in recovery for thirty years means I have friends, and a few of the Ladies in the Meetings guided through it.
Anyways. I only visit the ECF maybe once month anymore. .This time I found an old PM ( I guess they're called conversations now) about selling tobacco extracts, which I obviously cannot legally do. So I thought I'd post in the tobacco Extraction sub-forum, and come say hello to some old friends.
