This cat of ours is the smartest pet I've ever had. I've thought this for a long time. You're gonna think I'm nuts but this thing can count. Yes, he can count! I always give him four kitty treats. As soon as he's done with the fourth one he immediately starts licking his chops as he walks away. I tried some experiments recently. Instead of giving him four, I gave him three. He gobbled up the three and it took him a good three minutes to stop looking for the fourth one. Then another time I gave him five but the fifth one I put about three feet away from the other four. He gobbled up the four and didn't even bother looking for the fifth one. I'm beginning to think he's smarter than some humans I know.
I believe you. One only has to look at this face to know it’s true.

Afternoon... Well I had a appeals hearing today. Have to wait for the verdict on that. I need to do some more leaf blowing. The power brick arrived Tuesday. It gets warm but not hot like the old one was doing. So that's good for now. I don't see the Urologist till Dec. 3. That was the earliest appointment I could get.

Afternoon.. I spent over an hour with the leaf blower. I have a largest pile of leaves on the street. So big you can't even park a car at the curb. Had to get it done the forecast is calling for rain tonight and tomorrow. Time to air fry my BBQ chicken wing parts and bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers stuffed with cream cheese and brisket. Got them from the Kroger meat dept. They do the prep so I can just cook and eat. :)

Evening.. It's been cooler for a few days. And we had rain today. With more chances of rain next week. I went through some stuff the other day. I have a pile of things I can't wear and some other stuff ready for one of the Thrift stores. I'm looking to replace my surround sound with a sound bar. I'm tired of the wires and speakers allover. Plus I think it's time to simplify things a little. Just have to figure out what I'm willing to spend for it.

Be careful. A soundbar isn’t the same as a true surround sound. I couldn’t do it myself but I do speak for myself. I realize everyone is different.

Never thought I’d see the day, but I agree on getting tired of the wires. Now I enjoy the Bluetooth speaker I have and being able to carry it room to room. The sound is pretty good too. Never got into surround sound though.

Back in the day I bought high quality Monster Cable and spent a weekend rewiring my JBL speaker setup. Loved doing it and loved the sound quality. Sigh. Can’t be bothered anymore.

If I don't do the sound bar I'd need to replace my receiver.
I just like SS. So superior to anything else. Totally agree it’s more complicated, expensive, and wiring is a PITA. But, to me, worth it. Again, everyone has their own threshold. My wires are buried behind the walls. Until you give it a real close look, you wont really know how difficult (or easy) it would be to wire up. I also added ethernet ports in a few spots in the house that I use for access points and other uses. Wasn’t really as hard as you would think.

I forget, do you stream? Cuz that doesn’t come in SS.

Yes I'm streaming. So the SS I have is produced by the receiver. Unless I'm watching something with Dolby Atmos on Max. And even then my receiver is to old to decode it. I stopped at Best Buy earlier to have a look. Talked with a sales person. I was remined why I only go there to buy what I already know I want and only need the sales staff to get it if it's not on the shelf. Costco has a good price on a Sony bar I was thinking about. But they were crazy busy. So I skipped it. Something I haven't done is use the TV speakers. So I'm doing that now. It's focused and narrow but not bad. Anyway I'll figure out what I'm willing to spent and what I need and go from there. Today I'm going to get most of my laundry done. Tomorrow I have to move stuff away from the doors. The contractor is coming to start the install of the new front and back doors. I'm guessing the rest of the work will start soon.

Evening... Been busy today. I removed pictures from the walls. Any shelf on the walls has been cleared. Don't want anything falling when the work starts. I took my surround sound apart. Then loaded it up along with some other stuff and went to the thrift store. Still need to do some cleaning but it can wait. Now it almost looks like I'm getting ready to move out.

Hope it goes well. I’m sure you’ll enjoy the results.

Afternoon... I have a new front and back door. They still have to put the storm doors on. This has not been an easy install. They had to rebuild part of the frame to support the doors. These are the same style of doors that I had. But they are new and air tight. Plus they are keyed the same. So one key to unlock the knobs and dead bolts.
