Glad to see another HHV Army member discover just how good the Rose is , I've been using the Rose V2 for about a year and a half now , it's seriously hard to beat flavor wise , they never leak , basically bulletproof . If a REO ain't in my hand , a Rose is .

Sounds like South Florida. Although the humidity can make it feel like 100+, the actual mercury rarely goes above 90, and at night it cools down to 75 or so (at least here on the Treasure Coast). Summers are actually more tolerable here than they were sometimes in KCMO, where the mercury could soar to 115 for days on end, and the nightime "cool" was over 85 degrees. (New Orleans sounds even wore, though: gills indeed!)

I have for decades now paid for an "ESA" Agreement with the HVAC company of my choice -- it includes twice-yearly check-ups/tune-ups, AND (most importantly) puts me at the very head of the line in the event of a heating/cooling failure. At well under $150/year, I have found this type of deal to be WELL worth the money! :)
I spent about four months in Kansas after Katrina , I was in Ottawa , about 70 miles west of KC . It got over 100F in August for awhile but I found it much easier to take than August in NOLA , we're living in a sauna here .

New Orleans would be good to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there BK.
I just got back home, it's almost 8p. The Weather Channel says it is 94 with a real feel of 103. I think I'm gonna watch Netflix till the storm hits.
The food here is worth a visit , but April thru September will steam cook ya here .

Retic, I see the storm passed New Orleans. I am glad you made out okay. If you are online, that is a good sign.
Thanks KK , it didn't get bad in my part of town , not sure about the rest of the city though , I'm just getting home from work .

flooding is a normal everyday thing here when ever it rains... ( we do live in a bowl)
the French Quarter was the only livable spot before pumps were invented... everything else around was a swamp...
once the pumps were put into place and the swamps drained, the city got bigger... do a Google map top down view ( satellite) and you can see a distinct line where swamp verses "livable" area is defined... especially west of Kenner... ;)

    Google Maps
Hmmmm , some times the swamp is more livable , no red headed shrews in the swamp . :)

It really is superb flavour wise, yeah there are some things that are not prefect like the little spring wire on the AFC, but it does work well as long as you don't lose it. It definitely should have come with spare spring wire. Bigger holes on the top filler would have been nice, but they are little gripes that are more than covered by the flavour and ease of build.

The Rose V2 is a different animal from the V3 , no spring on the AFC , not as easy to build but worth the effort , you might wanna consider the V2 .

Yeah I do understand that they are quite different, but the spring wire is not a deal breaker it hasn't been off the mod since I got it :D

I am very happy with it overall.

The last few months have been pretty expensive, Hurricane 1.3 LE, Snapdragon 1.5 and the yet to arrive Kayfun 5! So I am pretty well stocked with quality atties right now LOL. Add them to the Squape R(s) and Kayfun 4 - I can't really think of any that I need to add to the collection ??

I've got 2 Kabukis so gunna sell one, the flavour just doesn't compare with my rebuildables.
