AC crapped out last night. Made for a very uncomfortable night's sleep. So first thing this morning I went out there to have a look-see. The fan would come on but the compressor wouldn't. Thought I'd start with the capacitor. I don't have a meter that measures capacitance but a lot of times capacitors will become deformed if they go bad. Pulled a couple panels to get to the capacitor and first thing I see is a corroded wire terminal that was suspended in space. Obvious problem. So snipped the wire and put on a new terminal and I'm back up and running again. Ahhhhhhhhhh.....feels good! Went ahead and ordered another capacitor and will replace it when it shows up. That top of that capacitor is pretty ugly and corroded. Probably from when I cleaned the condenser using that caustic crap. I could use a nap. yawnnnnn....

So what did they throw off the bridge? I know some of y'all were young when that song came out. I used to listen to it when I was a kid. I don't care for country, but always loved that song. Yesterday was June 3rd, so the song is quite appropriate. Funny, it doesn't seem outdated at all. Her eyelashes in the video were a big giveaway though. For those who don't know, the song came out in 1967.

Um, I hate to be morose, but I'm pretty sure it was their newborn baby. :(

Odd. I always thought she had told him of an abortion up on the bridge, then he later through himself off.
That's what I thought it was too Pop (or similar) but geez, I could easily be wrong. El's account is similar too.

Eleanor, I think pretty much the same thing. But I honestly don't know for sure. Maybe Papaw is right. The song was a good story, and great music. The end left us guessing. I was about 7 years old when it came out, but I used to listen to it.
