Yep, generally true. I've been unlucky! I've known several - some of whom were clients - who were nearly as emotional as women.

At a certain point hearing toxic stuff over and over becomes abuse. I'm no longer willing to endure that. Life is too short AND too long for that. :)

So true!

Can't help the clients thing, being a captive audience is the worst!

Good morning!
3 kuerigs, one ninja, 1 cheapo, 1 French press... 5 coffee makers I've broken since moving into my house 3 years ago. ..
Me and my wife have used two french presses for the past year but it's time for the 6th... Wish me luck.

Lol.. good luck!

Although it sounds like you all might be abusive to your poor coffee makers! Hahaha

Maybe if we wish our luck to the French press it will help more! :)

:( no seriously I take care of my stuff! It's Texas water. Destroys tubing I guess.

Makes sense. I'm a weirdo about water and only use bottled, preferably distilled. And, yes, it is nuts to pay for water but I hate all the crap they put into tap water.

I have "fired" more than one client. It's a waste of time that ends up costing me too much money and time. I hang in there as long as possible - but when it's painfully obvious, it's over. ;)

Good morning.

Slept 10(!) hours. Musta needed it. Feel a bit out of it today. Maybe too much sleep. I think the cumulative effects are starting to show. Had to take off my wedding ring set. Didn't know if I'd be able to get it off. It was a struggle but it's off.

Gonna take it easy today and get fluids in me.

Sundays are usually the blah day after disconnecting. Tomorrow I'll start bouncing back. :)
Have a bum day today Robin. You're entitled.

I spent a fortune on vehicle repairs last year. I even got a new clutch put on. Well I noticed the clutch start squeaking in less than a years time. Took it to the dealership. They say I need a new clutch fork, and it doesn't come with a new clutch job. Price tag for repair is almost 700.00, I kid you not. They say they have to remove transmission to put a new clutch fork on. I've seen a few videos, and none of them need to have the transmission removed. I'm pretty ticked. The vehicle is quite old, but I cannot get a newer one. I'm going to find out if they are telling the truth about the transmission removal or not.
I finished watching Daredevil last night. My son got me to watch it. So I finished the 1st season thinking that was it for a while. I didn't realize there was a second season already. I was surprised to find I did like the show...but I had to warm up to it a little bit. My son will be pleased to know I liked it.
Not sure what a clutch fork is anymore these days. Probably a different name for an old part. But I like that you do some research on these people before blindly clutch forking over your money to them. I'm not saying they are dishonest but it helps to know what the hell they are doing. There are still some predators out there and their prime targets are still women. If you need it you need it but I like that you check it out and ask questions.

Good afternoon Army!

You all are hard on coffee makers... I've been using one of these for 3--4 years now? X-mas gift I asked for from my sister...To me the best coffee maker is a percolator.

I haven't seen one of those in ages. I remember them from before Mr. Coffee came out.

PicC, might be cheaper to use some type of bottled water than it is to replace all those over and over again.

Just checked my latest blood work (finally got posted). Cancer marker is going down. That is good indeed.

I really don't want to say how high it was....I was VERY negligent in getting it tested regularly. It is still very high but the movement is going down.

Thinking about it I'm not sure how long I've been using it. But yes they do still sell them and I wouldn't have any other. And they don't even cost that much. Amazon.com: Hamilton Beach 40616 Stainless-Steel 12-Cup Electric Percolator: Electric Coffee Percolators: Kitchen & Dining I'd have to use a disk filter for pre-ground coffee. But I buy starbucks and have them ground it on the coarsest setting they have.

Morning all! And it IS terrific to see so many of you back, Loving every second! It'll be spotty for me for a bit as I'm in the throes of audit prep (again). Time goes faster every year. At this rate, I'll be the same age as Bronze if I don't watch out.

Seems like you just finally get done with one then you are starting the next.

Non-profit, right? Seems those are the worst. Every time you think you got a handle on what they need from year to year, they throw something else in.

It's what I've used for over a year. Have a large one and a small one. Neither make more then 5 cups though and I'm a coffee addict more then anything. This coupled with Costco Columbian I'm good.
Bottled water can add up but it is an idea I guess.
