Got quiet around here.
We had rain nearly all day yesterday, very few breaks..
poor kitty had to stay in with nothing to hunt but me and random strings... she drives me nuts when she can't go out to play.
Supposed to be nice today though.
Well that's handy.
Anyway.. I wish you luck in saving for another car, I know it's difficult... heck times are difficult right now.. but you will get there.
We need rain again. It's not so bad the grass is browning but just don't want it to get to that point.
Good evening Army. Did some grocery shopping and pool time. I've been re-reading a book about Ava Gardner. Almost done with it and I turn a page and there is black stuff in the spine area. Holy crap! It's ashes from when I smoked. Yep, bought the book back in 2006...I was still smoking.
How weird to have that 'reminder' show it's face after so long.

@Opinionated I don't even think about the spiders anymore. They like the master bathroom. I probably kill 6-8 a week in there.
My oldest starts college next Monday. Making some changes to his schedule last minute. So much to do.. Getting his stuff ready, college books, bursar.. And 3 days of softball games this week. I need more hours in the day!

I had a duck come down my chimney once. That didn't go over too well. Had to come home and get him out. There was a screen in front of the fireplace so he was trapped in there...flopping all over the place. Got my large fish net out and netted him. He was very happy when he flew off.
Good Morning Army. It took some "left door closed" trucking, but I got home last night from Ohio. Three minutes left on the Omnitracks when I signed "Off-Duty", one minute when I logged off the tractor. But it was 11:30 last night before I walked in my front door.

Some even pulled off on the shoulder and turned their emergency flashers on. What was it John Lennon once sang ; "When the Rain comes, they run and hide their heads..."

In Florida it is illegal to drive with your flashers on when it's raining. I still can't figure out why.... maybe because people will think you're stopped? I dunno. Those signs are posted everywhere even on those boards that tell traffic conditions. We still see people putting on their flashers.
Scorpions....ugh! S'mom would tell me how she would get small ones every once in a while in the house. I'm just glad it never happened when I visited.
It's gonna be a good day today. Energy level back to normal and just a few more days for the effects to start going away.

Hate to tell ya, the last year is the hardest. You go to all those activities and think "this is the last time for____".
Believe it or not, I still get misty over seeing those back to school commercials. I loved taking the kids for school supplies. I truly do miss those days.
Hmmm just had an idea...kids should just about have their lists when we go up there. I could take them supply shopping!!

Flashers in Texas when it rains is standard. Just having them on doesn't matter what lane you're in you automatically get my wrath... If you feel the need to put flashers on, pull off the freeway and let the adults drive.

All this flashers and driving talk... my mom was using them with me in the car when she had to go on the freeway, as she was driving 45, i asked her what she was doing and told her she was going to get us killed! She stated she doesn't like to drive that fast... she has since stopped driving entirely. Florida is safer with her off the roads.
My friend was balling this morning. I held it together.

Instead of living to a hundred I would rather live to 50 twice........as long as I could live the second 50 knowing what I learned in the first 50.
