You were up early! Glad to hear things can progress for you and that you’re feeling better.

I’m a little better each day. It’s up and down, naturally. Sometimes my heart hurts so much I don’t know how I can keep going, but then hope rises and I know all will be well. I’m thankful that Becca knew Jesus as her Savior and I will see her again one day. I would not be able to endure without the Lord, that’s for sure.
I’m sure you’re heart will never be the same. Much love to you

Always, I am glad you stopped in to say hello. I hope you are doing well.

BK, I hate that you are in pain like that. I hate to see anyone suffer. That is one thing it seems that they could work on more. Just make sure you try to eat a decent meal. Pain medicine makes me sick as a dog, especially on an empty stomach. I have only asked for it on a couple of occasions. It was due to kidney stones. Some hurt, some don't. Some are horrific. Anyway, maybe you should see a pain management specialist if your doctor is having trouble correcting your pain level. I'm afraid I don't have any natural remedies for the type of pain you are experiencing. The only ones I know about are mild pain relievers at best.

ruff one today, the Dr wasnt going to fill my Rx for 1 day... so I gobbled up the Napercin to keep things manageable. I did manage to eat a full meal tonite ( filet rare, baked tater, brussell sprouts and glazed carrots) :) couldnt eat much of it tho, got full about 1/2 way thru it. Went to take my shower and I discover that Im covered neck to ankle in red splotchy stuff, not bumpy, looks like measels
doesnt itch... just weird... maybe I maxed out on the Nappies and this is how its getting rid of it.

My new Drs appointment got moved to tomarrow morning instead of Wends.. not looking forward to having to walk 1/2 mile thru this massive complex ( 18 million sqr ft of building) in my present condition ( sans pain meds)...o_O maybe I can get the wifeys wheelchair to fit in her car....:thumb:

yup... nappies cause skin rashes/ discolorations... no nappies for tomarrow... ouch. gonna be a fun nite tonite too o_O

maybe a couple of beers will help wash out the system ;)

Dang! That just stinks. I hope the doctor gets this prescription thing worked out tomorrow.

There's a concoction I make that stops my inflammatory pain which I get in my muscles and bones. It might not help much for your pain, but it is also great for indigestion. I'll put it here in case you want to give it a try.

In a glass of water add & stir up:
1 to 2 tsp ground ginger (fresh grated is better, stirred in hot water, then steeped for 10 mins)
1/2 tsp turmeric powder (or ground) -- or more if you can stand the taste
1 tsp ground coriander
Sprinkle cinnamon to taste (I do 1/2 tsp)
1 tsp of apple cider vinegar
Honey to taste (sugar is okay if you don't have honey)
Lemon juice to taste

After you drink it, drink lots more plain water. The spices don't dissolve, so you might have to swirl it around between sips. I gulp it because it doesn't taste that great and I just want to get through it.

basically the Dr I was seeing ( the one who cant write a proper script) is dumping me onto the "new" Dr I get to see tomarrow... I suppose the old Dr is expecting the new Dr to start writing my meds Rxs ( thats why he didnt refill, I could wait 1 day with out meds to see the new Dr)... I am so POed with the old Dr... spent over 2K$ ( 300$ Office visit, 1000$ CT scan, 75$ Rx, 680$ another CT scan, 130$ last visit)
for him to tell me Im terminal and write me a 1 week pain med script and dump me.:grr::mad::grr::grr::grr: as I sed, the system is broken

lets just hope this hiking trip I need to do tomarrow pays off somewhere....

do you put this in a captive bag ( tea bag)? or you actually swallow all that powdery stuff?

BK, do you have someone taking you to this dr. appt. today? A lot of times I need to take my mom to her appointments, and most of the bigger medical complexes offer wheelchairs. I usually have to get one for her because mobility is a big issue for her. If you have someone going with you, you could send them in ahead of you to fetch one, if you are going alone you could try calling the reception for an aid to come out with one to assist you. Pain sucks. Best wishes.

No tea bag. Ingesting the powdery stuff is what helps. It’s not terribly pleasant, but it lets me sleep when I get a bad flare up.

Hmmm. Quiet group again. Okay, I’ll say something. It’s just Tuesday and who gets excited on a Tuesday?

The market had real nice cauliflower again, so I’ll be spending the day making gobi manchurian again. I need a cooking success after that fry bread fiasco. I’ll be making it tomorrow too so the chilis don’t go bad. Spicy dish like this will light me up.

Also I made it home safely despite heavy Vegas traffic. That’s nothing short of a miracle. :)

@Bunnykiller, I should add that mine doesn’t have all of that powder because I use fresh ginger. I make a ginger, lemon and honey beverage that I always have in my fridge.

That beverage recipe is added here:

I’ve had all my pre-surgery appointments now. Had the last one today. So now all the surgeons can collaborate with each other and figure what works for all of them. Bone density scan scheduled for Friday (has anyone had one?). SE of my prevention med is osteoporosis, so I’ll do those yearly and start taking calcium and vit D.
Work had been a little nicer the last shift or 2 so I’m not miserable there this week.
LA hope tonight’s cooking is a success!
