Well they extended the cold spree. We will be getting record breaking cold. Last night one place said 3 deg for one night, the other said 7 deg. This is with a North wind, and the wind chill will be way below that. I have never seen such a long cold streak here, with highs that are freezing and lows at or near record lows. It has already started a few days ago. But will carry on until at least Thurs. The wind chill right now is ten deg lower than the actual temperature. The winds will be up to 15-20 mph some days. It is already super cold for here. There was a major pile up in Ft. Worth yesterday. I think black ice was part of the issue. It was dark, and I did not see the start of the wreck. I did see various footage of it though. Quite a few 18 wheelers were involved, and several people lost their life. Many more are in critical condition. I hear various reports of how many vehicles were involved, but it was close to 100. Another pile up of 24 happened too, but that was not in the same location. So if any of you have to deal with this, stay at home if you possibly can. That is what I am doing. I do not plan to drive at all during this time period.

Yes.. He was a stray kitten I found at work. He'll be a year old May first. That's the date I'm picking based on how little he was at the time. Don't think I'm far off. But he's not so little now..

Mr. Whiskers did not come home last night. He was let out early yesterday morning. Hasn't been back. It's also been misting, drizzling, cold since he left. Guessing he's hunkered down somewhere.

Yep, cats are great at subsistence living. But they also like an easy meal. Kinda like us.
