Three walls basically done. One to go. Then I have to put a roof on and connect it to the cat flap then stuff inside. Fair amount to go. Would have been a 2-day job when I was 20. Not a chance anymore. Building walls on flat garage floor. Takes 2 minutes to reach the floor and 6 minutes to get back up plus a 5 minute break x 80 screws per wall. Got a couple ibuprofen coursing through my veins now.Hey Bronze: Progress report on the catio?![]()
I can empathize with that.Takes 2 minutes to reach the floor and 6 minutes to get back up plus a 5 minute break x 80 screws per wall.
My 95 year old, one-legged Grandpa used to say old run down people like him should be dragged out in a field and shot. I’m beginning to know what he meant.I can empathize with that.
Good to see you, Sir. How about a health update.
been feeling rather puny ... the neuropathy in the feet is antagonizing, the bone chemo is some bizzare stuff. All of the bones which have had some type of crack/break hurt... breaks that have healed when I was a kid are an issue. Between the accidents, surguries involving the bone and what ever incident involving a bit of bone damage are now constant reminders. There must be steriods in the chemo, for I have put on weight and its all fat, Im constantly hungry even tho I have eaten enuf food to make me stuffed. There is one good thing tho, Ive noticed that I can go a bit longer without having to be tied to my oxygen leash... altho, when the oxy level in my blood drops below 92 I start feeling that out of breath anxiety... when it hits 87 or lower things go crazy, feels like im suffocating, breathing into a bag and reinhaling it... and Im tired all of the time, been trying to get back into my electronics but when I start reading, its like someone hit an off switch and I cant keep a clear mind. When I do get a chance to sleep its full of hi intensity full color vivid dreams... so realistic its hard to tell if it was a dream or a memory. Other than all of that, Im doing ok![]()
I might agree with Grandpa, but would still resist the procedure. Not sure why.

Hi all,
I have been vaping for 12 years but the DIY bug only really hit me recently. This comes in the wake of the US mail bans where people all over the world will never be able to get much loved juices from their favorite USA vendors.
One of the aspects of DIY that really interests me is the opportunity, however futile, to try and recreate juices of years gone by that, either were discontinued, or for whatever reason just don’t taste the same.
Two of my favorite juices were Heathers Heavenly Vapes Gandalf/Legend and Pirates Booty back around 2012-2014 before those flavors changed into more straight forward sweet NETs. I also really liked the way Huntsman and Serendipity tasted back around the same era.
I am not even sure it is appropriate to ask here, but would anyone have any ideas or tips on how to recreate these juices or have some clues or insights into some of those flavorings that went into those juices back then? Was it just ethyl maltol or sucralose or was there more going on? Does HHV have a particular flavor partner that makes and supplies their juices? Perhaps their method of mixing and distillation is just not possible to emulate?
I know these juices were/are NET tobacco’s but it wasn’t the tobacco that made them the wonderful complex concoctions that they were. It was the blending of Sweet confection-based flavorings that made them unique and very popular at the time. I sense that there’s some Ethan maltol in all HHV NETs even to the present day. It is pinning down the other flavors that I am struggling with. Based on some research I did the super concentrates from Vaping Zone and flavor express tobaccos at flavorjungle could be used to emulate the tobacco flavoring.
A guy has got to try in these uncertain times.
I think one of my favorite Twain quotes ...or maybe it was someone else?.... is "The very reasons a man decides to run for office are precisely the same reasons one should never vote for him."Kind of reminds me of a Mark Twain quote. Something along the lines of,”I’m opposed to millionaires... but it would be dangerous to offer me the position.”
My world is blown just thinking "Bronze" and "cat" in the same sentence - Bronze building a cat house is .....is.....um...there are NO words.....Three walls basically done. One to go. Now you know why I wanted to buy instead of make.

So far, this catio is shaping up to being pretty nice. I’m kind of hoping Mr Whiskers doesn’t like it so I can use it. I’ll need a bigger cat flap though. It’s true! I wish there was video.
Although Whiskey/Whiskers is a pretty spectacular cat. He’s proven he can win over *anybody*.
With all this depressing cancel culture going on of late (including HHV) I believe I would prefer the dreams. When I do get a chance to sleep its full of hi intensity full color vivid dreams... so realistic its hard to tell if it was a dream or a memory. Other than all of that, Im doing ok![]()
Anthony! Good to see you, though I'm sorry I don't have the answers.
Hi Anthony. Definitely understand about the strong desire to recreate flavors.
There might be someone in DIY forums here on ECF with the kind of flavor guidance you're looking for.
As of right now, HHV flavor recipes are private, since they are still in business, and the shop will remain open as long as possible.
Don't know what the future holds, but that's where we are at right now.
Good Morning Army. TGIF !
My advice would be to start extracting your own without searching for a particular flavor. There are hundreds of tobacco blends, so I cannot tell you which would suit you (as you already know) but I am confident there are several you could be quite happy with. But that's just one opinion....
Have a Safe and Blessed Day![]()
