I weighed his food bowl before I went to bed last night. 110 grams. Got up this morning and it weighed 83 grams. Opened the door to the deck. Heard a meow. In he walked. What an azz!

I am sooooo relieved. Clever of you to weigh his food bowl. I know you are relieved too. Azz... cat... What’s the difference???

Afternoon... So got my first covid shot. The second will be in 4 weeks. Got part of my shopping done I'll finish the rest in the morning when the stores aren't busy. Forecast is for rain tomorrow so I mowed the yard . Been having beer so I think it's time for pizza..:)

Giving Scruffy catnip is messy. So last night I put about a haft cup of catnip in an old sock. Got a pan of water to a boil, added the sock then let it simmer for about 40min or so. Took it off and let it cool till this morning. (This is the second time I've done this.) Poured it in a spray bottle this morning. I now have about a quart of catnip spray.. Scruffy loves it and no mess..

Scruffy is a year old this week. I'm saying May 1st. But he could be a year old now.. Got him a couple presents on the way..

I bought bigger springs locally. A 10 pack but I can only find a few of then. I can't figure out what he does with the toys he likes. And I've looked everywhere for them..

If you really want to make him over the moon, buy a catmint plant, put it in a pot and just snip off a bit now and then. Give it to him to play with . It can be messy though as it is 'wet' with juices.

You two are so fortunate to have found each other. Scruffy’s no fool. He knew which human would love him best and appreciate him most!

Pretty funny to picture his “man cave” somewhere that he can no longer fit into because all those many favorite toys are in there.

He’s famous for coming home to eat and taking off right away. I wanted to at least know if he came by to eat. I’m guessing he wasn’t home for long.

I went to IKEA and bought this plant table and then bought catnip and cat grass from the pet store. I couldn’t wait to present it to Song and Tigg.

She explored it thoroughly for a few hours and nibbled a bit. Tigg wouldn’t go near it, though he did roll around on the bit of catnip I snipped off for him. Tigg is a big plant eater. By the time I got this, he had even eaten the various cactus plants I had on my desk! We can’t have any plants around because of him.

That was it. No further interest from either one of them. I took care of the plants for a while and then tossed them. The whole adventure made me happier for longer than it did them. Meanwhile Tigg has continued to gnaw on every plant he has ever been around. But not the ones I bought just for him.

Whiskey is the most safety aware cat I’ve known. Whenever he crosses a street he’ll stop, sit, look both ways to make sure the coast is clear then go. Sonetimes he keeps sitting and sure enuf a car is coming. Same way with other animals. He sizes them up and if he thinks he’s out of their league he steers clear of them. He never comes home with battle scars. And I know he beats the crap out of the neighbor cat because he said he saw him do it and had to take their cat to get stitched up. He told me he’s gonna put Whiskey in his crosshairs. I told him I’ll put you in my crosshairs. Cats do what cats do. They’ll figure it out. Don’t need humans to interfere.

We can make a world supply of respirators at the drop of a hat but can't come up with a portable oxygen generator.

well they can, its about the size of a six pack of 12 oz. coke cans... The generator is a 1 time cost item, the bottles are a continious monthly cost... its all about the $

then why did you build the catio if cats are gonna do what they do and humans dont need to interfere?

Don't forget the cake! This is my Chessie (RIP) celebrating her first BD with her friend Wet Willy (RIP).

I hope you feel up to the shopping tomorrow. I really got knocked down about 24 hours after my second shot, and had to crash after lunch to sleep off the after-effects. I was mostly fine the next morning. The first shot didn't seem to be much of a big deal, so I wasn't expecting to feel the second one so strong.
