RightA 1-shot Whiskey. He's a double now.

I haven't had him that long. Took custody of him late last year I think it was. He was the neighbor's cat but he'd come by most days for treats, a nap, and a couple pets. I really liked him then cuz I could send him home![]()

Till sun up? Ya bum!Good morning Army. Wednesday I had opened my mouth once too many times, and the Boss opened his mouth once too many times, and I said "The heck with this. I'll be drawing Social Security in six weeks, and I don't need this crap." and walked out.
So now I am retied from trucking. And it actually feels pretty good to sleep until sun up. I might look into a parts delivery driver for NAPA, or some piddling little thing of a part time job. No interest in working directly with the public, I've seen enough of them through the windshield.
Getting my vaccination today. All I need is a driver's license. Maybe clear off the old garden and plant a few things just to get my old hobby started again.
Have a Safe and Blessed Day![]()

Especially when you see some pompous cow in government telling everyone - very smugly - well if you had an electric car you wouldn't have that problem. I guess when you shove that plug in the wall, it's all free.If you want to rile up the people, make it difficult to find and pay for fuel. It becomes abundantly clear how fundamental energy is to our lives.
I'm just waiting for some of these we-know-what's-good-for-you's groups to start treading on the feet of another set of we-know-what's-good-for-yous groups. That'll be fun. Meanwhile, did anyone else see what Loudown County, VA is teaching children. Oh. My. G.......Public Health is a gold mine for any and all overlords. There is no room for argument.
“We are Borg. Resistance is futile.”

You and the Missus better be feeling the hug I'm sending from here. Do they have legalized pot in your district as I've heard many folk say that it's very pallative to those going through chemo and can really help the appetite. Eating is critical as it helps build up your strength against the chemo onslaught. Another idea would be buy a job lot of Ensures or similar, Boost, Power shake, or generic equivalents from Costco or Sams Club, and the higher calories right now, the better. They're not bad refridgerated.Good to see yall are still here too
been having some ruff days for the last few weeks and its not been too funthe bone chemo is really kickin .... and all I want to do is sleep....
when I am awake, the need for additional pain meds is requiredalso, I had the covid vaccine ( the 2 parter) and the first shot was a bit obnoxious, but the second part
it was absolutely the roughest vaccine I have ever had... ended up getting damn near every side effect except for the death one. Might as well have had the live virus. took almost a week to get over the "symptoms". The headaches were the first sign, then the chills/fevers/sweats combo kicked in and was tired beyond tired...
between the runny nose and the loss of taste and appetite made eating so bland and boring... its weird how the loss of taste and smell makes eating a chore... with those 2 sensory inputs, eating is boring, even the vape lost its allure.
anyway need to get into a shower, I have 3 "fun time" activities scheduled for today... a covid test, blood lab work and a full body MRI... hope the metal rod in my leg doesnt cause any issues...
till next time![]()
If you were on a payroll, you should be able to claim unemployment for 6 months Brett. Just a thought.Good Evening Army. Forget Throwback Thursday, it was Murphy's Thursday. As in it went wrong.
Maple trees in the front yard love growing their young in the landscaping outside my bedroom window. Every two or three years I have to dig them up and transplant them to another area of the yard (northeast corner this year). But the shovel, which doubles as a pooper scooper, has dry rotted and the handle broke. Need blades, oil, filters for the mower anyways, and Mamaw wants to repair some screens, so off to Lowe's I go.
$158. Gagged. Came home and started on the blades, and a spindle is damaged. Off to buy a new deck spindle, $60. When I was working, I would just whip out the debit card and keep right on moving. But now I am noticing how much I spend, and things have got to change.
At least the lawn equipment will be serviced by tomorrow morning, then I just need to piddle at home and not go into town for a week. Or a month.
Worse, a lot of companies use MS 365, and it requires a secondary confirmation after you enter your password....uh.... like your cell phone number. So I read the blah blah blah before downloading their ludicrous program on my phone, thank goodness. To paraphrase "By downloading this app, MS has the right to do this, do that - and erase ALL content" on my android. Well I can't tell you what I actually said after reading that. Told my company they needed to find another way, specially as its my personal cell, not a work phone. Worse! - I looked this up and companies apparently can DEMAND you use that app!.. on your Personal cell phone! Things have gone waaaaaaay beyond any point that most people think about.Hi ya'll . Just wondering if any of ya'll got the email from Microcrap about terms of service ? I clicked on their privacy policy and got a load of crap about how they're legally entitled to my content including emails sent and received in Winblows .![]()
Electricity appears out of nowhere.Especially when you see some pompous cow in government telling everyone - very smugly - well if you had an electric car you wouldn't have that problem. I guess when you shove that plug in the wall, it's all free.

Isn't retirement grand? I love it.Good Morning Army. TGIF seems a little hollow when one is retired....
Not for Truckers who quit. Over The Road Trucking companies are always advertising in the paper, so the Social Worker says "I can pick up the paper and find a job for a truck driver."
Of course, if I were to reply, "With your expertise with the General Public, and your Degree, and your years of service, I am quite sure you could get a job as a Way Mart Door Greeter.", then I would be a problem.
Watered the garden, sipping coffee, listening to Mamaw fuss.... another day in retirement.

David, most every night in my prayers I thank God for giving you to Scruffy, and Scruffy to you.
Can you even imagine your life now, without his presence, and his routines, and his goofiness?
Viva le chat!!
Hard to believe from something so small. He's a mean ornery little cuss. And a pain in the backside.
