GE. Same as the one that died. It lasted 19-1/2 years so I have nothing to complain about.
There are only 2 or 3 compressor manufacturers so there’s not a ton difference between brands anymore. I stay away from all the fancy electronic crap. Too much stuff to break. I want my fridge to keep my food cold. I dont need it to tell me the relative humidity in Buenos Aires.

Afternoon.... Went to Lows for O-rings to fix my kitchen faucet. That didn't fix the leak. Something else broke because I couldn't get any water from it. Over an hour later I gave up. Went back to Lowes and got a new faucet. Got it installed and I have water again with no leaking so far. I'll keep an eye on it for a couple days. My body isn't happy about all the up and down from the floor. Ouch....

Afternoon.. Well started with temps in the low 20s and wind chill of 7. Now it's 26 with wind chill of 15. Tonight the temps will be in the teens.. I hate it... Scruffy doesn't care..

So my starter went bad. About the only original component left on my truck. I swapped it out yesterday. Now there's a screaming sound when I start the truck. Sure sign the starter gear is misaligned with the ring gear inside the engine. In other words, it's a defective starter. So back it goes and need to get another one. Problem is, the starter in my truck is as buried as it gets. Can't even see the top mounting bolt. It's all feel, no see. And it takes forever to thread/unthread that bolt because I have only about 30 degrees of swing rotation with my wrench. Arms, neck, and back get roached laying there wrenching the dang thing for an hour. Sympathy welcomed.

You have all kinds of sympathy from here. Hubs was a mechanic.

And surely used the same cuss words as me. He did it for a living. I do it cuz I trust no one. I hate working on cars. One of my least favorite things to do. Oddly, I don’t hate working on my lawn n garden equipment as much cuz I can toss them up on my workbench and stand up to work on it. Crawling on the floor is for a younger man.

You got that right. It's too bad you don't have a young one that would do that.

My hubby 1 was a logger but he did all his own mechanics He even learned to paint. He was diabetic and passed away from a massive heart attack at 46.
