Afternoon... In the 50s this week so the snow will be gone again. Dropping my truck at the dealer in the morning. Something in the emissions system is giving a warning. I'm close enough they can shuttle me to work and pick me up if need be. Scruffy is getting better at coming in his door.

Definitely a short shotgun is the way to go for self defense...if only for the maneuverability advantages. I don't have a shotgun. Maybe one day. I have a .357/38 revolver for home defense. I need to look at some compact stuff for our cars...wife too. Might do that later this year.
I'm looking at a Taurus in 40 S&W for my truck , going with the full size , it feels better in my hand than the compact versions , easier to control .I won't subject my Colt .45 to the holster wear and tear . Very few guns are made these days with that good of a blue finish on them .

    Yep, Path of Exile-both 1 and 2 but I prefer POE1
I just built a new rig mainly to have something to do and to see if I could do it with newer tech . The thing is a beast . Liquid cooled I14900 , military spec motherboard , full tower case , super fast NVME drives . It weighs 65-70lbs the case was 40lbs empty . Built for gaming but I manage everything on it for the household and my health care . Cost me 2 grand total , saved about $1500 doing it myself with the components I wanted in it . Heavy duty everything . I'm running full 4k with all settings maxed in Elden Ring , Star Citizen etc and it's glass smooth so mission accomplished . Gonna build a new Linux system next . Grabbing parts before those tarrifs impact the costs .

I wish the heck we didn't...A lot of people wish we didn't.
Hey! You cut off a piece of string and tie it onto the other end, you've got a longer piece of string.

I am disappointed that you didn't know that, but happy to clarify that for you.

Hey kids! Been painting the front gables. Have to use that 38’ ext ladder. Not fun. That ladder is a behemoth and I’m old. I was moving it and the thing went backwards. I couldn’t stop it so I just chucked it to the side and got the hell out from under it. I just let it slam to the ground. That was my sign. I can no longer handle a 38’ ladder. So I retired it. It’s going on Craigslist. I’m not 20 anymore. Not even 60. I still have my 32’er and that’s much easier. I hire out for that tall crap from now on.

Morning.... Had my BP check at the Doctor this morning. Everything is OK. So no work for me. My truck is back at the dealer for more maintenance work. Last time it was about $1500. This time about $1200. But all the recommended service will be done for a couple years. Except oil changes which with my mileage is about twice a year.

Did you have an annual blood test?
